rebuilding, getting there

today was leg day. ah yes. humility day. anyways...

i had just got done squatting and had done 3 sets of heavy leg press, and was finishing my quads off with a set of leg extensions (had ACL surgery a while back). Two of my friends were on the machine rotating sets. i was light headed from squats and presses, so i was leaning up against the machine talking to them. they then get off the machine, me still standing next to it looking intently and drooling to finish my workout, and some fat girl, very obese comes and takes the machine with me standing there. and to make it even worse she sits there and looks at me and doesnt even do anything for a good couple minutes. She then proceeds to do what all fat people do in the gym, she put the weight on the lowest amount that you can still have the pin in the weight stack, and started doing sets. they had to be something like 15-18 reps for each set... AND THEN SHE JUST SAT ON THE MACHINE BETWEEN SETS. WHAT THE HELL!!! this went on for 5 sets, and then she just gets up and goes on her lipogenesis way. i dont know if it was feeling light headed from squatting or the test tren combo im on but dang it i was through the roof. i was so dang mad. to compound my anger, there are actually two machines that people use for leg extensions, and so i walked over to the other one while tubby was on the actual leg extension machine, and some girl cuts right in front of me when i was about 3 feet from the machine. she went straight from the oblique machine to the leg extension. what are people thinking? dang it. i was so mad that i started saying stuff like: who sits on a machine between sets? why dont people let others work in while they are on a machine? and all she did was look at me.:bawling:

its your fault!!! if your sitting like 3 ft from the machine or leaning up against it-- I would figure your done!!!

if you wanted to work in- how come you didnt ask her??? (cause she was fat???) really-- & I might sit on the machine if I just hit a very heavy set (like on seated calves) & couldnt walk!!!

chill out dude...

Next time just walk over and ask her if you can work in. If she gives you attitude, THEN come and post something like this.

Otherwise, you really didn't do anything to remedy the situation...

come on now, i was waiting on the machine, i knew the two guys that were using it and they were on their next to and then last sets, and i could use the 2 minutes rest, not 10. this female was about 5'6'' and im 6'2'' it would have not been efficient to work in, although that was an option, i was upset with the improper etiquette. Im not a machine hog either, id let anyone work in just to talk about our training methods.

Yeah, why didn't you ask to work in?

she came and just took it. i must have momentarily lost touch with reality bc i didnt hear or feel her brush up against me and i was on the side of the machine that you use it from.

Dude, it's YOUR OWN DAMN FAULT. She may be the fat chick, but you're the one acting like a fat chick by not being assertive.

I would have told her to get off because I was next, or at least told her to let me work in.

Though I agree, fat chicks have no place at the gym because I know only one fat chick at my gym that I see there on a regular basis on the weight floor, and she might actually break the fat barrier (though I'm not holding my breath).

Always ask them if you can work in cause 90% of the time that will intimidate them enough to leave.
