I've been doing a ketogenic diet for the past 22 days avoiding all carbs, bumped my protein intake up to 2.0 grams per lb/bodyweight, getting 1900cals from protein,doing 4-6sets lightweights for at least 12 reps and 40mins low intensity cardio two days on one day off. My intitial stats:
Height: 6' 1"
Weight: 235lbs
Bodyfat:19%
Current stats:
Weight: 217lbs.
Bodyfat: 14.5%
The thing is, I'm kinda shocked because I expected a dramatic loss of muscle but I have virtually kept my muscle size,looking quite vascular and my strength has been the same.I got over the initial carb cravings (but I'd give anything for a Subway Sub!)and the cardio work is getting easier. The only thing that I do is before a workout, I down 4 cups of black coffee.This gives me a buzz for my workout and kinda cuts the appetite. A couple of Myoplex Low Carb bars and that's it. I'm going for another 4-6weeks until I'm completely satisfied.I just wanted to get your opinions bros.
