CARDIO DAY & ABS!
Cardio day kicked my ass!
First we did ABS, so we would be able to stress the muscle.
ABS
Decline situps with bands.
Decline situps w/ 45lb plate, 5s holds. Then did one set, 10s hold, 9s hold, 8s, hold, and so on.
Ab stabilzation ( 3 sets, 3s holds, 6 reps)
Leg Lifts w/ Partner throwing legs back down. ( 4 sets of 25)
Ab work on the swiss ball (1 set)
Cardio
BOXING DAY
Hit the bag for 10minutes
Hit the speedback for 5 minutes
Jumped rope for 5 minutes
Sparred with partner (not fighting, but he had the gloves where u have to punch and duck/weave.) Only lasted about 1min each round, need to get enduracne up
10 Flying Knee Kicks Per Knee.
Was good cardio day, i think im going to do this rather then regular cardio, since i think it has muscle building attributes too. PLUS i was DYING, sweaty, hot, couldnt get breath, MEANWHILE i can run a mile under 9 mins, go figure lol
BUT IM GOING TO INVEST IN A STOPWATCH, SO MY PARTNER AND I CAN REALLY START PLAYING AROUND IN THE BOXING AREA. i love THE IDEA OF BOXING AS CARDIO,
IN FACT IT WAS THE FIRST TIME IN AWHILE, I HAD A MUSCLE SORENESS BY MY BELLY BUTTON, FROM MOVING UP/DOWN/SIDE/SIDE. fELT GOOD.
Any boxers here? Any cardio routines? =]
Oh yea, and i deadlift today, 415x5 =] Getting there!
