Turns out my apricot seed biz turned out to be a good idea!

Theres this computer/electronic repair shop that I called about. Saw the ad on CL, they need a person to post listings on their ebay account. They are HUGE company that has thousands of listings, they said the job would be permanent. The thing I like is that it is M-F 8-5.

They pay per post you list - but after 2 weeks probation period they pay 2.25/post. So even if I only do 5 posts per hour, I will make 11.25/hr. They also said they would pay cash or check. The only downfall is that it is in Sac, which is an hr away from me. But I am 100% sure I can post more than 5 items in an hr, I can probably do more like 8.

And if I keep my other job on the weekend, I will be rolling in the cash my nuggas.

Anyway Im not gonna get too excited just yet. It sucks because it is 100% commission, so theres no guarantee. But at the same time I can almost guarantee 5 listings.hr on average. Ive been posting on ebay for 6 years and am really familiar with the site. I go in on Monday, I just hope its a permanent job, and that I know I will always make at least X amount of money. They lady said there were thousands of posts and that I would never run out of things to post.

Have any of you ever had commission jobs?

Why do you have to commute to Sac if youre posting on ebay? Or is that just for the interview and stuff

This sort of low commission only, no benefits type job should be temporary rob

Its for the interview. But they take all the pics and have the item descriptions in their office, so it would be a lot of time for them to send the pics and description of all the items to me. Just easier to do it in their office

I can take photos and instantly email them with description to my admin bor. If it were me i wouldnt drive an hour just for that job. Whats gas cost for you? Whats your mpg in your car? Run the numbers rob

Gas would be about 10 dollars their and back, so 50/week. So it would be around the same that I pay right now.

Basically this one 1 job will pay more than my 2 jobs combined. And I could even keep one or both of my part time jobs on the weekend. The hotel and chili's

The BBB says they've been in business since 05/06 and have been BBB accredited since 1/20/11. On the up side, they have 1 complaint against them that was responded to and closed and have an A rating so far.

Meaning for my business I take photos with descriptions and can email them instantly to someone else who does whatever with them. So theres no reason for me to go drive anywhere to deliver any pics or descriptions but thats just my business. I guess what they are doing at your place is different somehow but try to ask them if they can simply email you the digital photos with descriptions because if the only reason you are driving an hour is to get the photos thats a bigass waste because the whole job is internet based.

Although yes consolidating jobs is always a good thing so you arent having to switch gears all the time for different jobs.

I hate working at chilis bro. Its fast paced, high strung, and people that work there freak out over fuckin food and drinks. Its jus not for me. I guess im better at work that only involves me. I do admit that I tend to not work as hard with other people, but when im by myself theres no one else to blame so I always give it my all. So with the internet potings on ebay, its all up to me to do good or not. Thats why i really want to try this job out. And I have experience with ebay, plus its better pay than both my other jobs, PLUS its a typical M-F 8-5 setting. This would be way better for my family

When I go in on Monday Im gonna ask them:

A) How permanent this job is
B) Is there a minimum/maximum amount I can make per week
C) Do they tax me if they pay me cash?
D) Can they send me the photos/description and I can work from home
