Most ppl in this situation are on the wrong side of statistics and they suffer. But I hate statistics because it doesn't account for the will of a single person who goes against the numbers. Don't be a statistic. Don't give in to the life you're familiar with. You're in control of your desicions and you can change everything you're unhappy with.
My ex gf used to be a heroin addict for over a year. She picked up and left everything one day after she hit bottom and never used again. When she told me what her life used to be like I felt so sad for her. It fkd up her entire life because for years she's just trying to pick up the pieces to get back to square one while most ppl are looking to get promotions, masters degrees, starting a family. That's what happens with any addiction. Life just passes by.
