How is the flag offensive? It's on toys that are sold all over (General Lee) and is part of a number of southern states' flags.

There is absolutely nothing hosted on the internet that I can take offence to or feel outraged about because it is strangers interacting via an anonymous medium - it carries no weight. I do possess empathy and know if something's in "bad taste" but it'll never bother me to the point where I'd petition a forum admin or website host ISP to take action.

If the person's handle was "Ihaten*****s* and he had a public lynching avatar to boot then obviously I'd understand why said person was banned because if he was not, then the website / forum would be passively condoning racism, complaints would flood the ISP and you'd be shut down.

In addition, I think all serious attacks on people because of their race, religion, or sexual preference is offensive and pathetic...

The only thing that is worse are those that defend one and allow another, it shows a total lack of integrity.
