Matrix Discussion

This begs the question: What, then, happens when a person in the first tier of the Matrix supposedly "dies"?

Neo probably also figured, "What is the point of re-starting a cycle for the 7th time that will do nothing but continue to enslave the human race?" Seriously, Neo could rebuild Zion a hundred times, but no matter how many reincarnations he goes through, how would it help Neo defeat the AI?

To prevent the extinction of humanity I should think. Why would Neo want to take the responsibility for wiping out the whole human race?

Interesting though how he mentioned to the Architect that the machines needed humans for energy, and the Architect said that they were prepared for an alternative plan should human existence be wiped out. If that were the case, why wouldn't they have wiped out humans to begin with.

Something definately doesn't add up, so that's why I think there is still a major plot twist waiting to happen, like a higher power greater than the Architect running the show.

This might be stating the obvious, but, doesn't the architect have to be a computer program also? If he were human, and the creator of the matrix, wouldn't he have been deceased? Didn't he say something to the effect of the matrix had been around longer than Neo could comprehend and that he was the 6th "the one".

Hulkster - interesting. I didn't pick up on the real world being another matrix of the level if thats what he said. Damn, I need to see his little speech again.

I think in response to the two choices the architect gave neo, rather than make the decisions of the other 5 , neo destroyed the mainframe. Hence, the building blowing up. I also think that the anamole of neo in the programming of the matrix represents something that the matrix accounts for. However, I think with the destruction of agent smith in the first matrix and the destruction of the main frame in the second, Neo has gotten part of the matrix embedded in him. Kind of like having part of the program written into his being. I think that in the third neo and agent smith will have to kill eachother for the matrix to die. Agent Smith said something about the two being bonded, im not sure about the exacts but this is what i got from it. Also since Zion is a matrix within a matrix, i think Neo is just starting to realize his powers against the sentinels , thus being able to stop them.

uh... go see it again....

No that's exactly what he said.

Here's a post from another board that explains it pretty well.

Neo is not in a coma. He is still conected to the matrix. well matrix #2. Trinitry and the rest are in the matrix #1

If you listen to the architect he said there was a slim few who could not accept any matrix. They had to fight for freedom no matter what. Well the real world is matrix #1. Its a sublevel for the .001% who fight.

when the sentinels are coming, neo stops them realizing he is part of the .001% who fights and he is in a differnent matrix so he uses his powers.

what the directors meant to do, is basically forshadow what is to come from matrix 3, that is when people will realize that zion is actually a component of the matrix, not of the real world

The the oracle asked neo in matrix 1, do you believe in fate, neo said no, and believed he is in control of what his future will be, which basically means non of them are actually free, hence the ability for agent smith to shift matrices, they never left the matrix, and in this point in time they are about to realize that they are still part of the program

My question now is I am begining to think that neo himself is just another program, doing his job... Makes you think.

So all the humans are still in that jello shit and comatose?
