I bet you've closed lots of doors. Obviously I was only concerned since I like this particular friend and happen to enjoy his gf as well. I respect her. So they aren't on different wavelengths.

Besides, everyone is on different wavelengths technically and I find it's more productive to try to find things you have in common with people rather than dismiss them. I know what you mean though. I don't tend to turn my back on people though for some reason, even if I'm not on the same page as them. I apparently need everyone to like me. Or I'll kill you.

I closed lots of doors when I was younger. Now I'm wise enough to not even open the ones that I know what's on the other side. I wasn't talking in extremes - "fuck that slut!! you should punch her and never see her agaiN!!!!" - I was simply saying "who cares?". I've come to terms with the fact that 95% of the world isn't going to agree with me or understand my POV without ridiculously arduous explanation, so I expect it and don't let it bother me or get in the way if my interactions.

That seems like a positive thing from where I am standing.
