The guy fled onto a packed train. They have to aim for the head so they don't detonate any explosives on his body. It seems some people would rather let him blow himself up on the train and kill everyone else.

Did they see a bomb on him? Or was that a nice token excuse to blow him away cuz he's middle eastern?

Maybe he was a middle eastern guy running away cuz he's got auto theft charges pending.

If they were going to take him out they should have done it long before he got into a crowded area. He'd been under surveillance for quite a while beforehand.

I read one report mention of having to shoot for the head to avoid potentially setting off explosives but eyewitness reports which haven't been challenged by the police say clearly that he was tackled to the ground and then had five bullets put into him.

There has to be more to this than they're reporting.

when these assholes decided to blow up many people on a train. and just because of the tightend security, and they have them all over the scottish airports.. it looks like a usi or something.

Due process goes out the window when you have some asshole about the jump on a train with a bomb strapped to his ass. If you had the chance to take a shot and stop him but didn't because you didn't want to infringe on his individual rights and a hundred people die.. people will bitch. If you shoot a suspect without 100% confirming he was a threat.. people will bitch.

Would they have executed her? No.

Nice to see racism and prejudice alive and well with their cops. If anyone's been to England -- they know how racist their population is. It's pretty scary talking to some of the minorities there. Skinheads freely roam the streets.

Hope people there riot in the streets after this.

Its paying attention to statistical facts. If a person blows him/herself up on a mass transit vehicle in Europe, chances are the person is going to be a young, middle eastern male.

Why don't we just ruond up ALL middle eastern males? Oh yeah, they started doing that last year.

After Oklahoma bombing -- did they capture and shoot all white males? No.

After the sniper killings -- did they capture and execute all black males in washington? No.

So why here? Once we start treating people differently based upon skin color -- we have just lowered ourselvse to the same level as our enemies who hate us for similar reasons.

Once we start letting government taking away freedoms in the guise of "fighting terrorism" -- who KNOWS what may occur. Once the dog is let loose -- think they'll stop there? Oh you got a middle eastern friend? Maybe we should SPY ON YOU TOO!

Believe it or not, there are people in the US who look EXACTLY like Osama Bin Laden, but love this country and never broken a single law ever.
