I'd like to add to this that I am just some nobody sitting shit-scared at home looking at past experience. I am in no way connected to any organization likely to invoke riots.

Im not sure what the standard is in the UK but in the US law enforcement can fire on a subject if they reasonably believe that he/she may pose an imminent threat to the surrounding public.

Judging by the past week in London, I dont blame the cops at all.

Tip, if you are innocent and 5 cops are yelling at you to halt, catch the next bus.

So they basically "executed" him without judicial process. Did he present a danger to others? Did he had a bomb wrapped on him? Or was he merely running?

And you complain about our cops. We may drag "terrorists" and throw 'em into jails w/o counsel for months -- but at least we don't run after them in the streets and unload onto them from far away.

From what I can make out from the story, said man has been blasted to shit for having seme wires visible on his belt and running away when three guys came running after him waving guns.

There are some English cities, most notably Bradford and Birmingham, which are in a constant state of racial tension. This event will be seen by many as an execution and even as being Open Season on Muslims. It doesn't bode well.
