Hey all, I've found my show. Nov. 6th, Greenville South Carolina-- 2004 Fall Bodybuilding Classic put on by Shannon Meteraud with her fitness & figure competitions...

I've half-assed started dieting this week... trying to find the groove of what I like and dont like -- but can withstand the whole dieting period. I've decided to go for 15 weeks, 12 hardcore.. 3 easying into it slowly but surly. Today was my 1st day of gym cardio (stair climber & treadmill... going for eliptical tomorrow) and it kicked my anus. I'm no chump either, I mean.. I played baseball, basketball, and football through highschool.. was recruited to play in college but that fell through.. so Bodybuilding/Powerlifting is my sport now. Anyways, I lasted about 6-7 minutes of cardio at about 80%... dont know the whole cardio game, that's what I'm asking about. What is the ideal % and time to shoot for starting out, and increasing through the weeks?

Also, I know mayo is a no no...and I dont even like the crap, but when I make tuna.. can't hardly eat it without Mircle Whip -- But I've gotten through it some how... was just wondering if it'd be bad to use some "Everything Free" mayo type stuff from Greenlife?

What is your bf% at right now?

If your bf is pretty low now you might not need to start cardio yet your if your diets Perfect . In fact you dont want to incorporate cardio untill dieting alone isnt giving you any results

Bro, 19 is quite high don't you think? Drop the carbs, hit a ECAY stack! Use ZIP, Levorex, T-rex, T3....CARDIO, CARDIO CARDIO!!!! Drop that weight. And then hit it with some gear! Don't listen to me I'm fucking sleepy and I'm talking crap. I'm going to bed. Goodnight ya'll

I'm at about 19% bf right now... 6'1'', 231 lbs.
That is pretty high but dont do any t3 yet. You can do it without it. Definetly start the cardio 3-4x a waeek now. cycle carbs 5days low 1 day high. I'd start by going 5days at 100 grams for carbs then on your one high day do like 500 grams. on your low days eat lots of protein!!! Everyones different though. You might lose slow or fast. you you might have to ajust that #. Keep increasing cardio graudally. youll probably have to some doublec ardios 3-4 weeks out. You need to get serious right away if youwant to be ready for the show. Cut out the bread pasta fruit ect. good luck!

Carth, you may be right.. but that's just a guestamation -- Figure8, thanks... that's what I've been doing for the past week now... I'll just hit it a little harder in the God-forsaken cardio area. God know's I'm trying hard as hell in the diet section, thanks for the help!

Cut to the point....19% is extremely high for where you should be come contest time.....gonna take some f-ing hard work bro, bu you can do it....none of this leisure shit, get your diet in gear today!

Preach it brother... I hear ya, I'm busting ass to get it going in full motion! I appreciat the help guys. I'm looking for all the pointers I can get. I'm just soaking it all in as I go. My big thing is money though, I'm trying hard though... I'm doing my cardio balls out though, just for good measure. I've got a bodybuilder you guys might know of kinda taking me under his wing... Timothy "Scott" Varner.

On another note... I just got my NPC stuff in recently. I have my entry form for the show and I've got 2 cards to get my NPC card, but I dont know ifI need to fill the on out on the back of my book? And it says it's only good for the rest of 04? Is there not something I can do to get it for 05 too, or will I have to just pay the fee again?

Thanks guys,

Hey all... I've come to a turning point in the competition ordeal. I'm thinking I may just wait... until sometime in early '05. Just to get a little bigger, to be comfortble going in (I'm a headcase, way too criticle of myself LoL). And to get adjusted to this diet thing. This is the 1st I've every tried hardcore dieting, I've grown a little acustomed to what it's going to take... and being honest with myself, I'm just not ready to do it, with school and work and these God forsaken car problems... I belive I'm gonna devote the rest of this year broadening my horizons on playing the diet game.. getting used to what I like and what works for me and what not. Plus I cant get the fact that it'd cost me just as much to become a member of NPC for these last few monthes to compete in one show as it does for someone to doso at the beginning of the year... then turn around have to pay the exact same fee again at the new year. LoL, so that's the plan as of now. But you guys have helped alot, I appreicate it. I've incorperated alot of it into everyday life already! Thanks again guys.

Hey Kurz1.... that you in the pic?

Good choice bro - worst thing you could do it try to go at a contest with anything less than 100% effort......rest up, take care of your business, and set a goal for '05....

That's the plan.... get comfortble with everything, about to head into a whole new realm of the lifting world. Can't go in ass backwards. But thanks for all the info... from everyone. I'm trying my d@mndest to track down some calipers to get by bf% for sure.
