If it's peaking at 30 degrees fahrenheit in the heat of a bright sunny afternoon in Atlanta for two days running, I know it's gotta be fucking properly cold in more northern climes.

add to this a near constant 10-12 mph wind.

Was 5 degrees here yesterday. About 15 today. :(
 
btw, have you ever been to Stat's downtown ATL? Best f'n sports bar, heeping mounds of food, your own personal self serve yuenling draft at each table, 3 levels, each level diff era in sports, rooftop deck with firepits, hottie bartenders. Everything in chrome. Two cool ass black dudes own the place and threw us free drinks all night at my brother in laws bachelor party..

right next to Omni

Don't blame me. It was 30s and raining the day I got there, warmer than I was expecting while I was there and ass cold ever since I left.
 
I don't so much mind that it's 17 right now, with that damn wind still blowing, but never getting above freezing even in the heat of the day sucks.
 
I just got back from Atlanta. I am so pissed. I thought I was going to have a nice mid winter escape from the midwest. Instead, I froze my ass off for four days. I think I would have liked it if I could have felt my face.

P.S. Why was I consistently the only white person on the train?
 
My parents headed out to our cabin on the Tennessee-North Carolina border in the mountains early this morning to see some snow. They're getting their wish.

Mom says it's been snowing pretty hard now for hours and is expected to continue all night, all day tomorrow, and into the evening. Already have 2+ inches. They're in the middle of 143 acres of woods snowed in like a mofo.


EDIT: holy fuck just checked the weather.com forecast for Hot Springs NC. Wind chill as low as -15 for the next 36 hours! Hope their Ben Franklin wood stove keeps them warm.

Cold and snow are fun, dude. We've got a place in Steamboat Springs CO too. We have all the sun we need in Mexico. Winter weather is kinda magical, provided it doesn't keep you from getting to work or the grocery store and stuff like that.
 
its in the 20's here, i may have to start wearing a shirt soon.


I love my Wood stove a toasty warmth unlike electrical heat.

hard to regulate those stoves? i used to go to a relatives and they would run one of those. it wld be 120 degrees in the room for 2 hours and then feel cold when it got down to 70.

that john deere saw had a 24" blade, and weighed about 40 lbs. probably too much saw for a redneck like you.

took a turn for the worse here today -- about 35 and rainy... supposed to warm up and be back close to 70 by end of next week though.

where are you at ceo?

22 here tonight wonder when it gonna get cold enough to wear my winter clothes, still wearing T's from summer,My dad was like this.
