Is this enough exercise?

Ok, i have a years membership at the gym in my college (which only costs $50 for the year by the way :) ) and im only at college mondays, tue's, wed's and fridays.

Monday = lower back, legs, abs
Wednesday = Upper back, shoulders, arms, pecks
Friday = lower back, legs, abs

**then next monday will be - Upper back, shoulders, arms, pecks

and so and and so forth...

Do you think this is enough exercise, 3 days a week? one day on and one day off minus 2 days in a row break (sat + sun)?

Thanks, just curious, it feels slow.

There are alot of great programs that are 3 days a week, however the vets on this forum can only really help you if you're a little more specific, what exercises and what rep scheme?

Trust me, its not enough to just say what body parts you're working on, theres a world of difference in knowing exactly what you're doing and how much weights your moving to gauge progress.

^^^ Agreed. If your idea of 'legs' is leg press followed by leg extensions followed by calf raises...its pretty useless. Or, cable flies, superset with reverse pinkies up DB flies, etc.

3 days a week can be awesome, but you need to do GOOD exercises not fluff crap. Exactly WHICH lifts are you doing right now? Thats mroe important than knowing which 'bodypart your trying to hit'.

Crap, im just picking the machine that shows the specific body part im working on, like the machines have pictures of the human body and the muscles that are shaded in yellow are the main muscles being used on that machine.

Say its legs, abs and lower back day, ill just pick the machines that have a picture of abs, legs (all parts of the legs) and lower back shaded in yellow.

I suppose its better than nothing, but you should learn how to do proper barbell exercises. Do you have the equipment for this? Here's a link with pictures of most exercises.

Pick an body part and it will show you exercises for it. Most important lifts are Squats, Deadlifts, Overhead/Bench press, Rows, and Chinups. Take a look at the training sticky at the top of the board, it has a lot of good info.

nice, thanks for the link, loads of info on there.
I mainly made this thread though to see if 3 days a week is enough as i split my muscles up into 2 sessions, so 1 week im doing 2 sets of the same muscles and then next im only doing them muscles once that week.
