Hello! i am brian and i am facing the problem of Gynecomastia when i was only 12 yrs old and now i am 24. Actually i afraid so much from any type of surgery as i was told that there will be few incision and pain during the surgery. Can any one have any suggestion regarding me. Your response will be appreciated. Thanks!

Hearing you've had gyno since 12 makes me wonder if you're one of those previous 12 year olds that's chubby and not to insult but had the physique of a tiny, young, 60 year old man. I see these little boys that have big chubby bellies and I immediately think they shouldn't be eating the junk, the fast food, the chips and cookies. Their diet is a big contributor to their appearance, and I like to imagine how confident and happy that future young man would be should he drop the weight, get in shape, and lose the boobs and weight. Never have I seen man boobs on a skinny boy. To make this thread positive and helpful, I'd say there needs to be some nuggets of useful information.
1. I don't care what age you are, if your weight is too much, I'd recommend exercise and diet.
2. Once the weight is appropriate and we're not talking about an overweight 12 year old or adult for that matter, you can address the remaining amount of gyno. If its nearly gone, great. Maybe routine use of tamoxifen will clear it up.
3. Diet, exercise, tamox all not eliminating the gyno. what about phospholipids? There ARE treatments you can do independently or have a clinic give you subQ injections of phospholipids and acetyl L carnitine. maybe a few other fat eating ingredients I havent considered.
4. Fat dissolving treatments: I am hearing on the radio a procedure they're pushing locally..Supposedly its a lazer painless, fat dissolving treatment I'd research before a scar producing surgery.

hey brianjones,

At age 12 what you had was psudogynecomastia, a very common condition in teens that usually fades with maturity. But at age 24 i am afraid that you are suffering from full blown gynecomastia. Which is not as bad as one may think. Its more common than you know. At least 1 in 3 men suffer from gyno during some point in their life.

There are many reasons for Gyno: steroid abuse, weight gain, marijuana, medication side effects, hormone imbalance and so on. Surgery is definitely not the only option. There are many proven treatments available today. I came across this website beatmanboobs[dot]com, it may be helpful to you.

I need to know more about you before recommending anything. are you over weight? Its not uncommon for skinny people to have Gyno either. What you need to do is consult a doctor about this condition, not a plastic surgeon. Surgery could be painful and costly. If you do not get rid of the main cause of gyno it may come right back since surgery doesn't cure your condition.
