ok so i usually inject myself once a week in the quad, usually i poke it in slow and then about 3/4s of a inch down it starts to hurt but i push it in more, and then i inject. Today at about 1/4of a inch down it started to hurt but i pushed through and it kind of hard and felt like i was tearing through something, which i assume is muscle. so does that mean my other times i was injecting i wasnt in the muscle? and what happens if u inject test e into fat?

its prob nothing but im a worry wart

What is your bf% bro. More then likely ou were getting it into the muscle every time. This time you were just clicking threw deeper muscle fibers.

Sounds like you should change your needle more often...

what length was the pin 1", 1 1/2"????
you couldve went through scar tissue which is usually harder than regular skin and can make a kind of crunch sound when injected through

thats what it was kind of crunchy but i never injected that spot before. im prob like 12% bf and the needle was 1 inch.

How about enough pain to make you hit the floor and have a seizure bro. Yes I have hit one before and its no god damn joke. Also expect not to walk right for at least a week.

Yeh I've hit a nerve before bro...it's not fun at all...it's pretty damn painful as well...

Just curious as to the location you were injecting when you hit a nerve.

And also, to the guy who started this thread (sorry don't know your name just your avatar of a sexy back:p): It seems like you are kind new to gear, which is fine. However just wanted to let you know that I personally (and many others I know) find the quad to be the most painful, problem-prone place to inject. I know its easy cuz you can see what you're doing, but try the glute or my personal fav, the delt. Both are very easy, less pain, won't make you limp etc. Just a thought.

yea guads suck, ass is smooth. i recently moved to a place that has stairs to get to my apartment. let me tell u it sucks trying to go up and down those stairs after a nice guad shot.

How come no one on here ever uses or talks about the ventro-gluteal site? I've mentioned it in another thread a while back and barely even a comment. I've shot propionate about 15 times in there already and it's as smooth as silk and that's hitting the same location once every 4 days. The same stuff in the glutes used to cause extreme pain and swelling that lasted a week. No nerves or blood vessels to worry about and less fat to inject through.

Even if it does hurt a little it never affects any workouts or walking or anything because of it's discreet location...and talk about easy shooting...just lay on your side, lift your knee and inject.

how big of a needle

how big of a needle

I use a 1.25" or 1". Inject depth 1" or just over. You shouldn't feel a thing if you get the position right. One time when I first started out I went a couple of inches too far back and ended up with a lot of pain for about 5 days.

can u please post something to show this area... i see pics of it but how the hell am i suppose to turn my hand upside down

I had hoped no one was going to ask me that lol. I posted a link with photos last month but the link no longer leads to the information.

Here's a description of where it is:

EHS: WOW-Ventrogluteal Site for Intramuscular Injections

I estimated the position from the original diagrams by locating the landmarks. I used my girlfriend's hand and marked it with a ballpen a few times too. Basically if you lay on your side and lift your knee to 90 degrees it's right near the end of the skin crease. You should feel a big spongy muscle right there.

If I can locate another diagram somewhere I'll post it.

PS. Here's everything you'll ever need to know about the ventrogluteal site including a diagram:
