implants in march...best advice please?

Not every Plastic Surgeon does massage....some do & recommend it some don't.....they say it can prevent scarring or capsular contraction....

Mshad -- if you want plastic surgery for yourself, go do it....not everyone believes in it, but if it'll make you happy, do it....I didn't tell very many people about mine, well, none, and no one noticed....

Mshad - don't get upset by your so-called friend not supporting you. It's funny...how friends become jealous of your successes. She may not be into plastic surgery, but she should be into your friendship and if she cannot appreciate your wishes (regardless of whether or not she agree's with them), perhaps she should be your friend. Getting my boobs done was the best money I have ever saved for and spent in a moment!!! I don't know about you but attention when looking glamourous is fun for me and when you get your boobs done, you'll know exactly what i'm talking about. It's like an instant extreme makeover and you're in control. I loved getting them, i love having them and i would recommend it to anyone who wants to improve the way they look in that area. For me, it really helped my self-confidence - that may sound shallow, but it's the truth for me...and with this increased self-confidence i was able to take on lives obstacles with more confidence...and that is simply priceless. Oh and yeah when you have to massage the implants - have someone "pop" them for you - it hurts like a bitch but my implants are soft as could be and even boyfriends in the past never realized that they weren't natural until i told them....good luck sweety...don't be nervous, it's revitalizing.

When I decided to do the surgery I called my parents about it -- I figured at the very least they had the right to know that I was going under anesthesia for invasive surgery in case something happened. My mom was all like "I wish you didn't feel like you had to do that...." But I said "I don't HAVE to do anything. But I WANT to do it." She and my dad were obviously a bit upset over the phone but I was glad I told them. Later that night I got a call back and they said they discussed it and fully supported whatever I wanted to do.

My parents are pretty kewl that way.

But yea, its all about you -- its your body, and you are being responsible about researching and making an informed decision. It has some risks, but then so does walking across the street. The important thing is that you have no reservations about your decision and you can always call your doc, ask more questions, talk to more people, move your scheduled date, or whatever and no one will judge you for it.

Personally, still, best decision I ever made.

Yup screw other people opinions (other than the supportive ones! hehe) Like I said I am doing this for me and not to get attention from guys!! First of all I am fully able to take care of myself and make my own decisions without having to second guess myself-wish people could trust that!! You ever feel like when you let someone into your life and express your insecurities and vulnerability to them they read it wrong and then you feel betrayed? I love boobs and have always thought the girl with great boobs was sexier than the one without and I am without! I need to feel sexy for myslef not a guy! I am super confident about my body and this is only going to bring me to the next level! Just cuz God didn't give them to me dosn't mean he dosn't want me to have them right? hehe

Thank you all soo much I know where I can come for support my "friend" should give me! By the way she is the ONLY one giving me crap everyone else, no matter what their personal view is is trusting me and supporting me in my decision!!!

I have recently been thinking of getting implants myself - i really would like to feel a little more confident about myself and would love to get a larger bust. If I do indeed decide to go this way im coming to you ladies.
Wow the info and advice you all give is great. I am told by everyone that i have discussed this with that i dont need them and i have "perty" boobies but i feel I would like some more up there.

D - speaking as someone who wears contacts because I am near-sighted and has a boob job because I had a "descending B cup", I would honestly say don't change yourself unless you really feel the need to. And I'm not saying I'm judging or anything -- but simply why add the risk, cost and maintenance if you don't need to? I'd be very happy if I had 20/20 vision and a nice perky B cup. But I don't. Nothin even near.

i have seriously thought about it alot but figure i would give it a few years thought and see what happens with my body and mind so it definetly wont happen for a while
