I can see you more of a maroon 5 kind of concert guy

Funny thing was I went to see Wu, but ended up loving Rage. Wu SUCKED live, as with what KB said, most rap live is awfull.

totally the wrong venue for those cats
KillahBee said:I saw them about 10 years ago in a big venue - it was terrible. Most rap is not very good live. The only good live rap I have seen is in real small clubs or spoken word type of stuff in coffee shops.
Ludendorf said:don't know about that bor, I've seen some sick concerts
guru and talib brought the house down, best concert i've ever seen outside floyd
KillahBee said:In big venues? can't agree with that, rap in big venues = the suck.
Talib, guru, jeru, mos def - those types of cats are different. more like spoken word type of ish. still, in a big venue they would suck too.
Ludendorf said:yeah, you're right...bass doesn't sound will in large venues
seizer said:concerts period never really usually interest me. I prefer the final product as opposed to the raw sound. its preference though.
rap concerts, for the most part, do suck though. But its not because they necessary suck at preforming live, they're just doing it wrong. When you go to a concert, you want to be entertained, and rappers dont usually have big stage performances. Once you start getting into the big guys like eminem, then the concerts are just insane. All scripted entertainment. Big bucks.
Ludendorf said:i've seen 4-6 rap shows.
cypress hill (suck), the roots, guru, common, and talib.
aside from cypress, they all were phenomenal shows...and all in smaller type of venues
seizer said:wow, i would kill to see guru and premier.
your fortunate to have seen some good shows. never heard spoken word live, though.
I agree with you there, Rap/Hip Hop is never as good live as it is recorded.KillahBee said:I saw them about 10 years ago in a big venue - it was terrible. Most rap is not very good live. The only good live rap I have seen is in real small clubs or spoken word type of stuff in coffee shops.
I've seen him by himself before, great guy. All of the Wu Tang members bring something special to the table, their chemistry together is awesome.Ludendorf said:ghostface is so deep, one of my favorite musicians.
He is missed, but there is still plenty of talent there without him.digimon7068 said:nigga pleeez. . .w/o odb, it's meaningless. . .
