lol

Lestat is a tool guy

I mean

The Band Tool

I saw them about 10 years ago in a big venue - it was terrible. Most rap is not very good live. The only good live rap I have seen is in real small clubs or spoken word type of stuff in coffee shops.

WU-TANG!

I saw them years ago live with Rage Against the Machine.

Funny thing was I went to see Wu, but ended up loving Rage. Wu SUCKED live, as with what KB said, most rap live is awfull.

LMAO! Yeah the Tweeta centa...... Friggan singer from Rage broke his foot and they canceled the show, then put it back on. Wu tang was on their bus heading back to NYC and had to turn around to come back so the delay was like two hours. Then they sucked, so it just made it worse. Did they even sing a song? Or did they just yell "put your hands up" the whole time. Luckily broken foot and all Rage saved the night.

don't know about that bor, I've seen some sick concerts
guru and talib brought the house down, best concert i've ever seen outside floyd

I saw those guys when I was 18 in Staten Island. I can't remember the name of the club, the Wave I think. We left after 2 songs because it was a tad crackerhatealiscious. I also got lost in Park Hill once and saw a huge Wu graffitti mural. The cops pulled us over and asked us what we were doing there. We said we were lost, and they followed us out. Told us not to stop at any lights. Some parts of that place are like the safari at Great Adventure. Animals jumping all over your car. Um, no blow that night.

In big venues? can't agree with that, rap in big venues = the suck.

Talib, guru, jeru, mos def - those types of cats are different. more like spoken word type of ish. still, in a big venue they would suck too.

dullboy used to live in the same building with Q Tip on 75th st and 2nd ave in nyc.

he's a cool dude. we are friends. That's pretty much all dullboy knows about rap music. oh, and dullboy likes erik b, and rakim and special ed.

wu tang clan - they're from staten island, yes? those are some bad projects there. lots of scary black people live in them.

concerts period never really usually interest me. I prefer the final product as opposed to the raw sound. its preference though.

rap concerts, for the most part, do suck though. But its not because they necessary suck at preforming live, they're just doing it wrong. When you go to a concert, you want to be entertained, and rappers dont usually have big stage performances. Once you start getting into the big guys like eminem, then the concerts are just insane. All scripted entertainment. Big bucks.

i've seen 4-6 rap shows.
cypress hill (suck), the roots, guru, common, and talib.
aside from cypress, they all were phenomenal shows...and all in smaller type of venues

gangstarr was soo cool live...guru would stop in between songs and talk to the crowd. everyone from hippies to thugs was feeling him. he light a blunt and threw it into the crowd...everyone tried to dive for it, i was close but couldn't quite get it

I agree with you there, Rap/Hip Hop is never as good live as it is recorded.

Rock is the opposite, live it has a much fuller FEEL because you are hearing the sounds almost straight from the amps.

Its still interesting to see a talented rapper work his flow and bounce off one another live.

ghostface is so deep, one of my favorite musicians.
I've seen him by himself before, great guy. All of the Wu Tang members bring something special to the table, their chemistry together is awesome.
