Yeh, I don't know what the particulars are of the arrangement. I absolutely don't care where anyone gets their SO from, I just don't appreciate stupid generalizations on how terrible American women are (unless one HAS dated all the American women-then I'm open to an opinion based on empirical fact). But I've re-hashed that enough, and I admit I over-reacted.
