What a woman!!!

Thank you

I'm very sorry about your loss shadow.

I've lost several loved ones cancer including a spouse, I understand your pain. His stepmom died of pancreatic cancer.

I haven't made any financial donations but I have Folders going 24x7. It's not about the karma, it's about doing something to help find a cure. Here's my story if you're interested.

Big love to you shadow :rose:

I've had three surgeries for a reoccuring benign tumor in my middle ear. After the third surgery (walls-down modified radical tempanomasteodectomy with attemptend ossicular reconstructon), I have no eardrum or hearing bones -- just an empty cavity. I can only imagine what those with malignant cancer go through.

This is a real cause worthy of donations.

Of course, being the sciencey guy I am, I'm more for donations for cancer research than some of the other donations to ease the suffering (not to downplay what they go through). Just the type of way I think.

:cow:

I'll make a donation but to the Canadian cancer foundation for tax reasons (i'm sure you understand :) ).

Shadow I am truly sorry for your loss. This Sunday it will be 2 years since my mother passed away.

My husband lost his father of pancreatic cancer in July, two weeks before they were planning a vacation.

Donation has been made, not much unfortunately (too bad you can't choose to donate to a good cause versus paying the IRS).

Again, my deepest condolences to you and yours :rose:

EDIT:

Card message
In remembrance of
Shadow's Mother,
a Memorial Gift has been made to
The American Cancer Society.

Felt kind of silly sending it to myself but you have to send a card ...

Everyone should donate something. This is a great cause! Most people know someone or are related to someone who has been affected by cancer.

I recently made a donation of $250 to ACS as a part of a fundraiser project I ran last month.

Hey ........that is what us healthy people need to do....help others get healthy
Exactly!!! I raised $2,500 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma society two years back with Team in Training. Then I turned around and helped another girl raise $5,000. What you put into this world is what you will take out of this world. You never know what may happen to yourself one day and maybe... just maybe something that you did could turn around and benefit yourself.
Look I met Bunny about 6 months after raising that donation and turns out she had Lymphoma... I would do any thing to help people out. Why not. If we are healthy we my as well be proactive.
The one thing I will tell you that kept me going while training for marathons is when you feel pain.... Just think about how much pain that person you are helping out is feeling and that alone is enough to help push you through that next obstacle. Give it your all!
