3 weeks ago I was doing headbangers on the incline bench and something mildly popped in my neck. Nothing too serious so I thought, anyway here's the shitty part. 5 days later I attempted to do chest and my right side was gone. No strength. I can't even push a 35lb. dumbbell on the flat bench. It's been three weeks and I have no improvement in strength. My right tricep is 80% non existant. I've been to chiopractor, Physio, and searched every conceivable source online to try to find some info or someone who can relate to this. My chiopractor says I have a pinched nerve in my neck. How long will this take? I feel small, flat and extremely week. All my other lifts are also sufferring.

Please Help, anyone!!

It seems to be isolated to my right tricep. However, I've also lost most upper body strength. My deadlifts are also sufferring, as is any pushing related exercise. Also my middle and index finger on my right hand have been tingling for 3 weeks!

My Chiro has been doing regular adjustments on my neck, but I don't seem to be progressing in the strength department at all. I keep testing the right side every few days or so, and still nothing.
It's kind of hard to discuss injuries with people/doctors who can't really relate to weight training, they just don't understand.

When you say something popped in your neck, where exactly in your neck did it pop and do you feel pain in that area still?

The neck region had been acting up a little previous to the "pop", so the right side (rear) was already a little "stiff". However when I was lowering the weight, the left side (rear) sort of "popped" it wasn't an overwhelming pain or anything, frankly I've felt similar sensations when lifting before, and it usually clears up within a few days or so. I did have irritating neck/shoulder pain for about a week, then it subsided. I don't have any real pain to speak of right now. I can feel something not right in my neck though, like when I bounce up and down or do jumping jacks or something. The extreme weakness is what is really getting me down, and the tingleing finglers is just a subtle reminder that I am not healthy.

yuor z-joint is probably out of line and the muscles in your neck could be pulled as well, need to know if you can turn your neck. IMO it is the nerve pathway that got damaged

Thanks for all these responses guys. I appreciate them.
Lord Suston, the mobility in my neck is good. I don't have any noticeable pain in any direction. It just seems like something isn't quite right. It feels like it needs to be cracked from time to time and when I am bouncing or jumping, I can feel it inside, almost like a tightness in the neck.

Sust, If a nerve pathway is damaged, how long until it free's itself and will allow my body to work again?
