I Have a Confession To Make

Gettin' old bros. Just can't attack the legs like I used to. I still love training...but...years of back injuries along with meniscus surgery, combined with the fact that I know I've peaked many years ago and my heaviest lifts are behind me, make it tougher and tougher to get under a bar loaded to the end and squat ass to the grass.

But I've found a little way to get an edge.

Here's my current pre-workout protocal.

1/2 before hitting the gym, I take....

One 25mg dose of d-bol.

One serving of ZIP. (Adding some Lipoflame increases the effectiveness).

A double dose of VIGOR.

200 mgs of DMAE

A double iced cappacino.

Alright, I'm essentially drugged to the gills, but man, what a difference! I feel like I can lift the entire weight rack. The weight goes up a LOT easier and I find I can push the reps and add more sets. This is exactly what I need for those "keep it real" leg work outs.

Sure it's tempory but all I need is an hour! As far as the dbol adding any anabolism, well...most likely not musch, BUT IT CAN'T HURT. I follow the workout with a BIG BLAST and my legs feel full all day long. Been a long time since I've had that feeling. I also use some liver supps. (Just to be safe --some POST CYCLE with extra N acetyl Carnitine, Yarrow and Milk Thistle).

Okay, so I'm an old fart and I have to cheat a little. But fuck it. The wheels are looking good and I can still out-lift most guys half my age and twice my size -- many of whom are on gear. I'll keep this going for as long as it works. I really don;t think one dose of d-bol a week is going to kill me. I'm on HRT anyway. And the results speak for themselves.
 
Old, schmold...I can't wait for my next b-day. Why? Cuz I get better every year. There's a reason when we hit 35 they call us "Masters"

I'm getting a little depressed while at the same time loving to hear from the older guys. I'm 34 so much younger than Nelson but having a 13 year old kid makes me realize how fast time goes by.

Also makes me wish I hadn't wasted my 20s...

I say do what works until it doesn't work anymore.
 
dbol needs 90-120 minutes or so to elevate test levels, surely more than 30 minutes, takes that long just to dissolve the tablet coating.

Don't sweat it Nelson. You most probably look better than 90% of the average people. Just maintain your consistency and enjoy your hobby. There is much more in life than just dreaming with weights. Enjoy life. We only live once. Just keep in mind that you look great and you are great.
 
I know its all about an inner sense of well being and all, but some how I doubt anyone else notices you holding your quads fuller throughout the day.lol.....I hear what your saying tho and Im sure I do the same when I train back.

When I take viagra I get the "Imaginary Inch" syndrome too
 
when I found my joins hurting too much for the big weights I started going with a pre-exhaust workouts...I would warm up, do a triple drop set on leg extensions, then move on to hack squats...by that point you cant lift nearly as heavy but get an insane workout.....
I did it to give my body a break but actually found that it improved my quads

Sounds like a good idea. I have to stop working out legs for weeks at a time. My quads get way to big.
 
I understand completely what you are saying. I now qualify for the senior discount at the local Golds gym ( what a bitch )

There is an old leg exercise that is seldom seen anymore. It's called a post squat. You put all your weight on one leg. Take the unweighted leg and cross it over in front of the weighted leg. Then squat all the way down ass to grass. Then stand back up keeping your balance all the time. DO twenty of these on each leg and you be the man.

I think as we get older we need to dig around for old style exercises to allow us to keep training but not injure ourselves any more.

I have shown this post squat at many gyms and I seldom can find one person that can do one without holding onto something. It recruits a lot of stabilizer muscles in the lift. Try it you'll like it.
 
I Hear Ya Nelson, I have to warm up trice as long, but before i go to the gym i take 1gram of B 12, then 400mgs of no doze-(caffine), a few St Johns Whort,I have to wrap my legs doing squats as my joints can't take the stress anymore,going on 58 i limit my max to 405 on the squat rack!

I hear ya too!! I love to squat but heavy weights are so tough now that I am old. I have tried the pre exhaust routine. Leg extensions first and or leg presses then squat. But nothing is as good as a plain old heavy squat.
 
I think as we age it's safer and smarter to not go for the big max lifts so much... or try to stay there. It's physically impossible to stay there. You can stay tight and strong, but the days of 400 lbs benchs and 600 lbs squats are over for most people at 50+.

I have hit all my personal best goals and don't really care if I get back there. It's not worth blowing out a knee or rotator cuff, etc. My goal now is to lift as much as possible without breaking anything. I'm 205. I have no interest in getting any bigger, but I want to hold onto what I have for as long as possible. AAS help me to do that. I don't think would be do-able without them.

Nelson, heres an old school remedy, and I challenge you to see if you dare to try it, say you have 100 Dbols, set a plan to run 5 mgs mon, wed ,fri, then after 5 weeks run 10mgs same days, then ramp it to 15 for 3 weeks then back down to 10 for 5 weeks ,and finish with 5 mgs until its all gone, if your diet and training is in check and you will need to train using whatever weight you warm up at after that keep adding 10 or 20 lbs and rep to failure keep adding the same amount until you reach your max of 2 or 3 reps then take off 20lbs and work back down you will find that as you keep doing this your reps will increase going back down this calculated will last 16 weeks and your max bench will increase signifently, I have done this many times its a light cycle but gives great results!
You know the protocol of milk thistle and all the others you are using!

you should add up to 12-14 sets per major bodyparts, 8-10 for tris,biceps...etc,you get the idea.

it's easy on lipid profiles... so prove me wrong!And i am way older than you!
just some hlpful info ,i forgot that I never experienced any bloat running it this way.

Dude, that's way too complicated! LOL Interesting though. Hey, if it works for you, go for it but I no longer cycle at this point. Nor do i want to do dramatic weight flucuation. I'm good right where I am.

Like I said, that little bit of Dbol with the supps gives me that boost I need to get through a tough leg workouts which I just can't hit like I used to. I've been doing it for a while and just may make it a 52 week a year thing.

Harley -- how'd you know about the butt plug?!?

Man I barely get up to 50lbs on each side for smith squats! Mind you absolutely no momentum! It works! When I get on cycle they will explode!
