Hey Omega, What is your take on Shoulder training? I have recently changed my routine from a CHEST/SHOULDER/TRI day once a week to having a CHEST/TRI day and then a few days later SHOULDER/TRI day. I could use a good Shoulder routine. Thank you Sir.

Speaking of shoulders, do you know of any great exercises to target the rear delt? Other than standard shoulder press, etc, I don't know of any besides going backwards on the pec fly machine that really hits the rear delt.

yes it can be done the way your doing it now OR before

in BOTH cases Shoulders should be trained with a level of Discipline an focus that is of the highest demand.

In other words use your mind and TECHNIQUE to focus on each head and know that these muscle are small, elegant, and display very well, so train them like an Artist would , NOT a Lumber Jack

let me save specifics for the pamphlet coming SOON!

YES

1)
do the Strictest Full Bent over rows you can do
( I just chill and pace myself and will do 4-7 sets with 135 and try with each set to divert more and more focus into my upper back ( trap/reardelt tie ins)

hold each rep for .5 second at top to carve out detail

2) Do 4-5 sets of super strict Close grip pull downs only doing the lower 3/5th of the motion

3) then do 3-4 sets slightly bent over dumbbell laterals
( never exceeding 25 pound dumbbells and focus on completion of each rep to carve out details)

Nice. I have found with shoulders it does pay to be slow and deliberate and focus on constant tension.

I am guessing from your name that you train for power lifting and not bodybuilding per se? That may be the reason for a longer recovery time between workouts for you?

But yes you are right, one size does not fit all -- especially in weight lifting.
I call myself a power builder because I combine what I consider the best powerlifting principle's with the best bodybuilding priciple's - for the ultimate in size and strength.
I'll never say you shouldn't try Omega's routine. It might work for you. If I switched to his program I'd end up over trained, under strengthed, and under developed, and prolly with less injuries - lol.
I feel Omega is overly emphatic (like Mike Menzer was with his HIT) in his belief that there's only one route to pec developement. I DON"T think his plan is a bad one - just not for everybody.
I mean Omega no disrespect. If you have a quad program that'll get me over the 30" mark without compromising my squat and deadlifting strength - I'll give it a try :)
