i find that it is easier for me to keep a good form when i do barbell bench. i also dont put clips on the ends, so if i get sloppy without a spotter, i will be able to tell easier. With two separate movements going on, i find that i can get into a bad posture and poor form a lot easier than if everything was moving all at once. Its just a personal preference though. If you think its easier to keep everything level with dumbells, then go ahead and do it. I just feel that i can get in weird positions easier with dumbell presses.instant.muscle said:wouldn't u use dumbells instead? that way instead of on barbell having the stronger pec take over and letting the weak be aided with dumbells u allow both 2 strengthen 2 the same weight?
