back doc, just go back to my post and read it over, read it over a couple times cause you dont seem to understand it. how many nurses do you know that have passed medical school and decided not be a doctor? that is fuckin stupidity if there is such a person. and thus that would apply to number one on my post, although they may have passed the test, they are just STUPID then.

if it wasnt so funny, about men being nurses, than 'meet the parents' wouldnt have been as funny as it was.
Nurses dont go to medical school. They go to - (drum roll...) nursing school!
Hmm lets see.
MD EDUCATION
4 years undergrad
4 years medical school
3 years residency
Plus fellowships (do you know what one is ?-didnt think so) and other extended training if you are going into a specialty.
BTW average MD's arent making $300,000 or $500,000 a year. A superior "MD" that works in the old family practice is maybe making $150,000 a year. And even less in your lovely communist medical (oops, sorry. SOCIALIST) system.

ALLLLL health care professionals have my respect! TOUGH JOB- Takes a special type of person to be able to deal with the death and sickness all day!

Hey, Shrelby- The next time I'm in Southern Ca. - YOUR sexy male nurse can take care of me ANYTIME!HE GOT SPUNK--- I like'em! hehehe

big difference between a guy pharmacist and a guy nurse. one is respected and makes decent coin, the other is laughed at because he has a girls job and he makes peanuts compared to a real doctor while probably putting in more hours.
Nurses in the US MAKE MORE than in Canada loser. Why do so many canadian nurses have US work visas? Because Canadian nurses dont make shit.
As far a respect goes NURSES whether they are female or male have RESPECT by all. We make life and death decsions-administer drugs that given the right way save a life. and the wrong way can take one. I forgot, doctors do all that stuff right-just like on TV?

You have serious gender issues. Did you get beat up by girls as a kid? Did an older sister, cousin, or neighbor dress you up in girls clothes and makeup and sodomize you? If so, the producers at The Jerry Springer Show want to hear YOUR story.
Only YOU laugh at nurses (male and female).
BTW I know what I make and guess what? Its as much as, or more that some of the pharmacists.
I guess I still make peanuts.
Does that mean I am gay? Please help me. Im serious. I will fly to Toronto and you can teach me to become a REAL MAN. I will denounce my profession and become a mullet sporting pool cleaner in the summer and a tossel capped wearing,eh! saying! snow plowing in the winter,Joe Dirt look alike, Molson drinking, pot gutted, inbred backwoods, I buttfucked my momma, needle dicked, hypogonadal, hump backed, buttplug wearing ,shit and donut eating, WINNY FAN L O S E R!
All in all, what I am saying is-can we be friends ? :bawling: :bawling: :bawling:

The fact that you think this to be true proves how uninformed you are.

In other news, the average MD salary in the US is $160,000, and dropping. (Source: New York magazine)

That isn't really all that much. Meanwhile, nurse salaries are climbing. Average about 65K in New York.

When your IQ rises to 28, have your broker sell.

sorry matt, the keys on my keyboard are all sticky cause i was jerking off to pics of your mom on the net last night. hence the errors.

That may be a hell of a comeback in the locker room before a game. And it's pretty good for the break room at Home Depot. But after age 22 it blows. Maybe your broker can help.

I liked your reference to "Meet the Parents" as an attempt to add legitimacy to your argument. That was cute. Poor Greg Focker.....

btw, genius, 65K in new york is probably going to be about 25-30K lower in most other states.

Once again, nope. The average nurse salary throughout the country remains about $51K-60K. (source: www.salary.com) The drop off is compensated by the cost-of-living variances.

Since there is such a serious nursing shortage in the US, a nurse willing to work some overtime can make another 15K-20K per year. There are also per-diem jobs that allow nurses to make even more, although without full benefits.

I'm pretty sure YMK could afford to fly first class....so he'll fit in the seats.

most women were nurses/men doctors back in the days because women were denied the right to become doctors or denied the facilities to. now thats all changed. as health care has changed over th years nurses just dont wipe up vomit anymore. they have a multitude of tasks nowadays, fairly specialised ion some cases, there are healthcare facilities nowadays where if u saw a doctor, its cos he;s there for treatment. in many cases a nurse might be more specialised in a certain area than some doctors.

nurses get my props. the fact that they are male may add up to some gentle ribbing by colleguea ut in reality most of the populace would survive nursing school.

I'm a Registered Nurse at a large teaching hospital. Last year I made 50,000. and I only work 3 days a week. I just took another job (PRN---I can work when I want to).....that will give me an extra 1200.00 a month if I just work one more day a week. So I will end up working 4 days instead of 3. And if I don't want to work at this new job for 2 months.....don't have to. For some this may not be alot of money.....but my daughter and I get by just fine on it.

I was seriously considering Nurse Practioner School last year-----they make 60,000.00 a year in my area, alot more shit to do, on call, and at the hospital all the time. I practically make that now so why add all the hassle to my life.

I work on a unit with intern's and residents. Half the time the nurses are "teaching" them what is going on with the patients. I have actually been asked by an intern what tylenol is used for.

I have been in codes where the nurses tell the doctors what drugs to give. This is not all of the time or even occasional. But it has happened.

My unit has alot of standing orders since I work in a critical area, so I end up calling the shots on quiet a few things.....and telling the doctor about them later.

I work beside some of the best male nurses in the country. Not one is gay, but it wouldn't matter if they were. Most are womanizer's , if anything. They are all big guys.......so they don't think twice about helping me with a heavy patient. They don't bitch and bicker like the females and rarely call in. I had rather work with male nurses.

Nurses are the one's who take care of families and friends ( and it's not because I am one, but because I know). Not the Doctors. I can't believe some of the comments made toward Your Moms Kneepads and nursing in general.

I suppose the people who made the negative comments........will never need a nurse's help.

Hey, Nice to hear from you. WinnyFan is living in his little delusion where we dont get any respect as men who are in the nursing field. I work (primarily) a specialty surgical unit where complications/problems at night are a regular occourence. One of the surgeons has complemented me by saying that he said he sleeps soundly when he knows that I am on and taking care of his patients because I know exactly what to expect/look for. I guess he also does't realize that when a surgeon says, "I trust your judgement" and comes in at 3 am, no questions asked to see a patient that you feel has internal bleeding with worsening vital signs and no urine output (shock) FROM WHAT YOU SEE and tell him. That's RESPECT. Something winnie loser knows nothing about.
