How many of you feel that you don't really look as big as your weight suggest

I'm 6'1" and 240lbs. at around 15% BF and most people think I'm not over 200. I got a big frame and I guess I need alot of mass to fill it in properly. when I lean down people tell me I look like skeletor....

Damn, glad I'm not the only one. I have one of those frames that hides muscle well. I ask people to guess my weight, they are consistently 35lbs light. (I'm 6'1.5 236 at the momment)

Wow, that is a lot of fluctuation!;)

I look bigger than my stats suggest. 5'-8.5" 185, BF isn't real low right now but whenever I cut it makes me look like 210-215lbs, or so past experiences have suggested.

Right now I am 6'4" and 280#, put on some BF lately but still around 12-14%. I do not think people understand that muscle is much more dense than fat. I have seen fat women with 30+"arms that weigh about the same as I do so I can understand how people get confused.

Being preoccupied with muscle development may involve a disturbance in body image similar to anorexia. Bigorexia (muscular dysmorphia) is now affecting hundreds of thousands of mostly guys like us your avid bodysuilders.
Bah! I dont buy into this shit, for the few who have a chemical imbalance it may fly, but for the most part I feel this type of explanation just allows people to sit back and say "I have a problem and its called bigorexia". By giving them a reason/excuse, naming the problem allows people to avoid facing it because if they fail they now have something to blame it on.

I for one am anything but obsessed. Sure I like to lift and like to hang out on the boards etc but my life is also filled with a lot of other interests. The fact that most people seem bigger to me is simply an observation and not a driving force forcing me to juice my life away and sacrifice my life with a single goal of getting big.

I am 6ft up to a massive 188 errrrrrrr but I am back under 6% bf shirt on look skinny as hell...To the point of getting sick of people saying shit. Shirt off or tank top and all the same people say Jesus Fucking Christ have you been lifting. Your getting fucking huge. Assholes. Then a couple weeks later when I am fully dressed they say I am skinny again.

Some people just have a hard time adding mass. I have a friend who is about 5'10" and rail thin 150lbs soaking wet, but lean as hell and he eats like a horse. He gets told to be carefull because if he gets any thinner he is going to fall through his ass hole and hang himself :)

Oh believe me i don't think it is an epidemic either and I certainly don't like being called crazy by any one due to what i enjoy. Zyglamale I think that it should be clarified, just cuase you look in the mirror every time you get a chance does not lable you as diagnosed. Hell if it did we are a bunch of crazy Fockers...Uh crazier fockers...:) This is a real problem but it is not as wide spread in the bodybuilding world as critics of our behavior would like to believe. How ever I do no a few guys that if this is a true phsycological problem should be the poster child. I have seen personalities change for the worst in a period of months, fits of rage and even self mutaltion occur due to the unhappniess of the individuals progress. That is all I am saying ...not that we are all screwed in th head. Just a thought on a controversial issue

i think i have been blessed with a good frame people over weigh me with there eyes i am 5'6 205 currently with 18.5 inch arms 28"legs i assume i look bigger than i am and no i don't feel that big it is weird
