This is a valid point. I was about 210 lbs lean and had been lifting about 7 years before my first cycle. I imagine that someone starting at about 160 lbs. would need much less overall weekly total hormone than I did :)
 
my first was 250 enanthate a week, bumped it up to 500 a week for the last 4 weeks, put on 20lb. If I could do it over, 500 a week from the start .
 
I just bumped my 500/wk of Sust up to 750/wk for the last 5 weeks of my cycle. I would think you need at least 500/wk,unless you are a smaller indivdual.

Well stated - most guys that I've seen who know how to lift can gain on 250mg's for a first cycle.

Sometimes I watch the roiders in my gym who can't squat without their heels coming up and never pull from the floor. Then it occurs to me that they are most likely of the population that needs 1 gram+ to grow on a first and 2nd cycle.

Back in the day - no one would even hook these guys up with juice yet the internet allows all kinds of tools to get their hands on it. It's not a huge jump in logic to figure out why there's so many more guys today who can't gain without 3 drugs and 1 gram total. This is the same population who stopped gaining after 1 year of shitty natural training.

My 2 cents (but I'd wager a lot more that I'm right)

Did you even read my post above? It's been my experience that most AS users only started after they had either reached their "natural potential" in weight training or were really close to reaching it. I'm certain that this group would gain a SUBSTANTIAL amount of strength/muscle on a minimum of 500mg / week first cycle as opposed to 250mg / week.
 
you don't know until you try what will work best for you. the worst thign that canhappen is that you blow $$. I myself going to do a short & low dose cycle. I'm going o use test Prop at 250mg a week along with 25mg of winny ED for 6 weeks and use .25 armindex for the whole 6 weeks.
 
DocJ, Not saying your wrong. I got the impression this was a newbie question. :)

Your right on about diet and training. As I said once before, its like building a house. It does not matter if you have 10 workmen (Nat) or 50 (250-sust) or 100 (big stack) - If you don't have the materials, you just have more people standing around.

Sust isn't that expensive, try a cycle for 6-8 weeks at 250 and see how you do. Also all gear is not the same, you may not do well on sust at 250, but may do great with d-bol at 25mg/ED.

Start low and see you it works for you. Its OK to experiment with yourself soemwhat when your talking about a low does (with proper extras like anti-e, liver pro.)

I started my first cycle at 250mg Sus and gains were small. I now am starting my second cycle at 500mg/wk. I would use 500mg/wk if I were you.
 
hey man, everyone's different. i was real scared about my first cycle, but it was my best, short and sweet. 250mg/wk for 6 weeks, put on 16lbs, felt great with it....
