Did you even read my post above? It's been my experience that most AS users only started after they had either reached their "natural potential" in weight training or were really close to reaching it. I'm certain that this group would gain a SUBSTANTIAL amount of strength/muscle on a minimum of 500mg / week first cycle as opposed to 250mg / week.
Did I "even" read your post above? - let's not be condecending as I frankly didn't agree and can do without the attitude if that is what you are implying.
Anyway...
Those who get close to their genetic limit naturally are a minority. Walk into any gym and see the majority of AS users are fools and have no clue on training. Without the drugs they wouldn't be any different than many of the other members. I've trained all over and even at the most serious gyms or those oriented specifically toward strength and not bodybuilding this is the case. I'd rather it wasn't so and I'd gladly join a gym that was the exception.
I do agree that if you are maxed out genetically that 500mg weekly is a better choice for a first cycle but ironically I've found it's these guys who want to keep the dosage extra low for just a little push as they are confident in their ability to be successful with even a slight edge.
