DocJ said:I'm not criticizing you all for low dose cycles but it is a FACT that you are all in the SMALL MINORITY when it comes to being able to gain even 10 lbs. of lean muscle on dosages that low. There isn't a single vet of the game on any board (other than maybe 2Thick) that would disagree with that statement.
btw-I'd be thrilled is I could gain on low doses...it would be cheaper![]()
We were originally discussing new users or those who's use is intermitent or recreational. I think many users in this group support success at low dosages. Considering many first cycles run in the 80's were 200mg of test or deca weekly, there was a lot of success in the 10-20 pound range from these users. Hell, 20mg of dbol daily was a fair amount back then for a new user.
With regards to 'vets' obviously after running a significant amount of juice and doing time on/off without deviation you are going to require more especially as one approaches genetic potential. The other problem with most board 'vets' is that they don't ever take time off more than the accepted minimum. With regards to their disagreeing and classifying users able to gain on 200mg weekly as a minority, most of them never took anything that low and they aren't old enough to remember when it was commonplace and accepted. Only in the past decade have newbie doses escalated to these levels.
Here's an interesting personal experience that you don't see often on these boards:
After a period of running several cycles time on/off (or close as I often gave it more time) I needed to increase dosages rather regularly. I took a year off and was natural during that time. My next cycle I was able to gain well again on a lowered dosage that was 1/2 what I took when I stopped (I was also bigger and leaner so genetic potential should work against me).
