I use a French Press.
Oh, you're right there ... here's my problem. I like coffee STRONGLY flavored but I was putting in so much coffee when I brewed it in the morning to get the flavor that I wanted that the caffeine was giving me the "internal shakes" you know what I mean? I only have one cup in the morning so caffeine actually hits me pretty hard, but I still want a little caffeine in the morning. So I've gone with instant. I get the -- well, let's be honest, RANK -- flavor with much less caffeine.BrothaBill said:Instant is gross IMO, I mean toxic compared to fresh brewed. I drink it on occasion when I need it. At that point its for the caffeine and so put ice in it to cool so I drink it fast. Usually creamer and spenda to make it taste a bit better

How long does this process take you?
nycgirl said:The process just involves boiling water, the coffee is A LOT stronger. You don't need to use a lot of coffee either.
Its quick, you don't need those paper fillers. The Coffee tastes a lot better, IMO.
You put a few TBS of coffee in the french press, boil some water, then pour the water in the french press, stir and press the grounds down to the bottom.
Its this:

BrothaBill said:eww, fancy, what type of water do you use?

I use to use a coffee maker. Then I was introduced to the French Press. My coffee maker has been sitting dusty for at least a year. I have a mini-french press at work.
I use to just use the tap. But I bought some bottles of distilled water recently, I prefer distilled water.

redguru said:I've drank it before in Iskenduren and in Rhodos, but I hate straining grains through my teeth. Kinda tastes like mud.

BrothaBill said:lol, tap pfftttt
my sister had one ages ago and I think Ive seen them used in coffee shops before. Im in it for the alkaloids so not that picky about the flavor but I thought about getting one b/c for some odd reason I really dislike making coffee and it looks faster too.
nycgirl said:I'm using distilled now!!
Oh, its alot faster. Clean up is simple too. Once a week I take apart the strainer thing and clean that really well. But, during the week, just pour out the ground coffee, little soap on the sponge, wash & rinse.
What I like the most, the coffee is so much stronger than a cofee maker.

Actually, the water's density remains constant so it wouldn't matter if the sponge had absorbed it or not.
nycgirl said:LOL. Yes.
I don't hold onto them forever. lol
