I DID NOT say "I think he should take care of them." You need to check your facts before you start shit.

I had a consultation with a man in that very situation once. He didn't want to pay child support anymore but he had signed an acknowledgment of paternity three or so years prior. I saw his point. The problem is that even if a paternity ruling could be reversed, that would mean he wouldn't have any paternal rights to see them anymore. My bet is that I would have had to appeal it all the way to the Ky Supreme Court to even have a shot at getting him the relief he sought, which I told him. Once I told him that if we won, he would have no visitation rights anymore, he didn't want to do it anyway.

So, genius, that is why I said, "I wonder why he waited so long to question paternity. After three years, I think I would be bonded and not want to determine that I was not the parent." I didn't say he was a bad guy or that he should be stuck paying child support. NOTHING OF THE SORT, and I RESENT THE MISQUOTE.

i'm just sick of the shit. I didn't say anything about how the woman should rot in hell, or the like, so I'm a bad person, I guess? Fuck, I'm sick of this shit. I didn't once question his motives! His motives are pretty clear, right? He doesn't want to continue to pay child support for a child that isn't his. Did I say one single derogatory thing about him? No!

Had you actually asked my opinion, rather than jumping all over my back, perhaps you would realize that I am sympathetic to him and to the child. The reason that I wonder why he is bringing it after 3 years is that I wonder if he somehow discovered new information that made him aware of the betrayal. There is a theory in law that for some statutes of limitations for bringing a suit, you can toll the statute of limitations from the time of discovery of new information rather than just from the time of actual incidence.

So, I was pondering in the back of my mind whether this entire sort of dilemma in the future could be cured by a change in the statutes which would toll the statute of limitations not from the conception of the child but from the time when a reasonable person would become aware of evidence that the child was not theirs.

So, get off my back.
