Hey Guys Lookin To Lose My Belly

also, center belly fat is cortisol-mediated (the stress hormone). anything that reduces cortisol levels will tend to help reduce center belly fat all other things being equal.

supps include glutamine (best), bcaa's (if dieting), Vit C megadoses, phosphatidylserne (sp?) - all reduce cortisol levels

this is true. You can get your Dr to give u a blood test to check the cortisol level.

Really Glutamine lowers cortisol?!

prevents the release in reaction to stress (including excercize) if I recall. It also boosts the immune response - this would be cool for you.

go to www.bodybuilding.com and search it in the Supersite section (not the forums). you find lots of science on it

morning
2 eggs 2 scoops musclemilk and a bowl of oatmeal

afternoon
chicken sandwich on whole wheat with cheese lettuce

some beef jerky and a protein shake

Dinner

i will have probably a salmon filet with rice or something and some cottage cheese

Before bed

Prob another protein shake

i really dont think its cortiscol issue or what not its just a simple clean up of your diet.. which isnt too far offf...

okay meal 1
is good i assume your eating anywhere fomr 1/2-1 cup of oatmeal so about 30-60 grams of carbs there...

Meal 2

Needs works...

Your eating too much ( jerky, shake, chicken) i can only assume its alot of protein for that meal..

I would drop the cheese and bread and go with a baked potatoe ( SOME fat free shreeded cheese if you MUST) and chicken... with a side of veggies your choice.. (cabbage, green beans, asapragus, broccoli etc)

Meal 3
is good

the shake b4 bed

i would add an efa there...

but your still not eating enough of though..

when do you train?

whats your current bdy weight?

Lots of unanswered questions: How old are U? Do you know your BMR? Is your goal to cut? Meaning your not looking to put on any mass?

Based on what I see, Loose the muscle milk, way to much fat per serving for your needs. I would go with Cyto Gain. Loose the Red Meat, way to much fat for a cutting cycle! Go with lean cuts of skinless chicken, deep sea and or fresh water fish. Obviously no candy or processed foods with chemicals that you cannot pronounce, unless they are made specifically for a lean diet. That is a start!

woot,

red meat is fine you can use TOP sirloin, extra lean beef etc... they have good fats that your body needs.
i just bought some really nice beef tenderloin steaks and some lean hamburger patties also as well as buffalo patties

Yea Tuna is a good protein source, go with spring water, not oil. That oatmeal, avoid instant stick with regular, and I assume their is no butter, salt, milk, sugar or other additives. I do put walnuts in mine and a touch of cinnamon.

All dairy needs to be low fat. Read the Label no more than 5 grams per serving and you need to limit the number of servings per day based on your lean mass body weight. I do Low fat cottage cheese and Hard boiled eggs but that’s all the dairy I consume, aside from protein Shakes.

You see, that's the thing, I cannot take anything that boost my immune system. I need to supress it.
I have glutamine at home and keep wanting to take it, but afraid it may bring on a reaction.
But if it does have an effect on the cortisol, I think I need to look into this more. I just got my results from a cortisol test and my level was normal, but since my life has been about stress, my belly fat is there and does not seem to be going away. Mind you, I've not be able to move much lately.
Interesting...thanks Mava
