Thanks, you saved me the trouble of writing this up!
But I have to ad this and it has NOTHING to do with you liftshard.
One thing I noticed on this board is that guys here watch TV and think that shit is real. Then they pass this bullshit information onto other people. Someone is going to one-day get hurt by the bad legal advice given out.
What I read in an earlier post about cops, specifically detectives lying about everything to get information is so damn true you cannot even begin to understand it.
They will state the DA has agreed to “fill in blanks here” and hold a piece of paper in front of you waving it around “if you just tell us”. It’s probably their laundry list for home. Cops and the DA do not talk until well after you are processed.
Tell you that your buddy in the next room just gave you up as the mastermind of the whole thing. Saying the same thing to your buddy. Trying to get one of you to panic and tell them “the real story”
Moral of the story
If they have you and arrest you. Know the whole story. They will never ask you a question. Not even Miranda you.
If they start asking questions, telling you how smart you were to XYZ then they are fishing. Shut up at this point and don’t think you are smarter then they are.
Smart people love to hear how smart they are and brag without even realizing it. Cops will play what they already know, to make you feel comfortable that they have info on you, more then they really have. Since they already know, what’s the harm about talking about it or denying it? Well buddy, you are feeding them more and more info for every word you speak.
They still play good cop bad cop. The good cop is usually the one who sits with you when the others leave the room. He is supposed to be “watching” you. Make sure you don’t try to escape. He’ll be your best friend if you let him.
There are tons of questioning tactics. It’s a course they give to detectives. It works… That’s why the NYPD has the highest confession rate nationwide.
6 detectives, and 2 inspectors interrogated me for 9 hours. I asked for a lawyer and I was told to fuck myself and answer the questions. I was cuffed nearly hog-tied to a small school chair that my kidneys felt like they were going to burst from leaning forward.
When I didn’t talk to their satisfaction (I said NOTHINING) they added on tons of bogus charges and told me that by the time the DA sorted it out and I could never come up with bail I’ll be more then happy to talk with them.
You can see I have no love for the NYPD.

This is abso-fucking-lutely FALSE.
The evidence was obtained through the behavior of a PRIVATE actor, not a state actor. Warrant requirements are therefore irrelevant.
YES, a private actor CAN break into your house, see your stash of dead bodies, call the police, and EVERY damned piece of the evidence is 100% admissible with respect to the 4th Amendment.
In the future, do not dispense legal advice unless you know what the fuck you are talking about.
