help me choose a bike honda or yamaha? 1000cc or 600cc?

this summer im looking to get a nice bike, here goes my options

honda's 600rr 954rr

yamaha r6 or r1

if i get the bigger bike its gonna be all stunting time, if i get a 600 its gonna be for cruising and chilling only. i had a 00 r6 with chrome everything but unfortunatly it got stolen

What kind of riding experience do you have?

What is your riding style more geared to?

I prefer open class bikes over smaller sportbikes. Not necessarily because they have more power, but because the power is spread out more throughout the RPM range.

Whereas a 600cc bike you'd have to rev it up to 9000-10,000 RPM to be in the meat of the power, a 1000cc bike you can chug it down lower around 3,000 RPM and still have usable torque, but still be able to whack it open and wind it out to 11,000 with power all the way.

I agree with GSXR 1000 too. You get more power everywhere and if you are a new rider I would definetely stay with the 600. Kinda of liking riding bulls you start with the nicer ones then move up as you have the evperience for the bad ass ones.

i started off on a r-6 and got really experienced off it to the point where i was man-handling it. i NEED more power, i think ill run a 600 into the ground if i stunt one

If you buy a 600 you will end up buying a new 1000 inside two years.

So if you don't mind buying up soon, then go for it.

You will find yourself within 8 months (assuming you ride daily) wanting more power.

Dude......I just got my 600 about 6 weeks ago and already wish I had bought a bigger bike. If you want a 600 I will sell you mine......2001 GSXR600 yellow and black, Full D&D Carbon Fiber exhaust, K&N air filter, Fender eliminator kit, flush mount LP turn signals front and back. The bike has 4k on it and not a single scratch. I want a 750.
