I had it done 1 1/2 years ago and it took no time at all, went smooth healed great and was doing chest within a week or two. Can only notice the scar if you really look hard. Doc did a great job, covered by insurance too.
How long did he say you have to wait before starting to train upper body ? Do you have to wear a tight sports bra or tensor bandage around it to keep the area tight ? The reason I ask is because I am geting mine removed in March so I am very curious to see/hear results from people who have gone through it. I am going to a plastic suregon and it is being taken care of from Insurance.

i was doing LIGHT cardio and biceps/triceps about 2 weeks later as i was still in pain, even going down steps was painful because of my bouncing pecs, however just last week i started doing extremly LIGHT shoulder workouts and back workouts, still have bot worked chest yet. i have a follow up next week and the doc will tell me if i can go back in full vigor or not.
p.s been working abs like a mofo, funny you find muscles to train when you cant train upper body..ie: calfs, hams, quads, abs, forearms, biceps, so im still in the gym daily
I'm curious as to how bad you guys who have gyno is to have insurance pay for it.
was it AAS related or from puberty?
I have a small amount of gyno (more on the left side) - when I went to a general surgeon he told me I didn't even have gyno. the fucked up thing is that it was documented in my medical history from pre-teen years and it's still there. I can feel it, yet the doc said No. I think he's an idiot.

From puberty and been there ever since I can remember. If it is causing pain in the area or restricts you from doing some things then you have a better chance of geting insurance to cover it Go see another doc, there not all bad
You Have To Tell Doctors You Have Chest Pain And Cant Sleep On Stomache, When They Say Gyno Or Steroids Give Them A Stupid Look. Also Tell Them Your Mom Or Grandma Has Had Breast Cancer And They Had To Have Their Breasts Removed..
I have had the surgery and it was mostly related to gear. Insurance covered it. It was not a bad surgery as far as time and pain but i do have a scar that outlines one side of my nipple and 1/2 inch in either direction. Not terrible but noticeable. Goodluck mustang. DB3
