Got my BP taken, this is good right?

You need to take it 1st thing am for 5 days and get an avg. also body position can affect the reading. supine = lowest, standing = highest. Take 1st thing, no coffee, AAS, hormones / peptides, food or supps.

ideal is now considered BELOW 120 / 80 - the lower # i.e. 80 is (diastolic BP) is the MORE important, systolic will be affected by food, supps, stress, caffeine and fluctuate through the day

Mine is 116 / 58 in the early am, after wife wakes up - 132 / 76 - BITCH!!!!!

Only M.D. can diagnose high BP - make sure it being taken right - not by machine in drug store or asshole in the gym!

low 50's is great for CV health as long as you are not weak / dizzy when changing body position. Did you ever train compete in endurance sports espec. swimming - usually swimmers are lowest.

Seriously!? Cause mine is usually mid 120's over low 50's?...

It's not seriously low but LBP can lead to weakness, dizziness, fatique etc.

A little lower is better than a little higher.

I should do a thread on blood test results concerning this. Although it's always best to be within "range" some readings are better higher than lower. In other words, having a red blood cell count near the high range is better than the low range. Testosterone -- of course, you want high. LDL -- low. And so on.

for decades 130/80 was considered the "ideal" numbers to have. the new standard, 120/70, is a recent revision.

it will eventually be 110/60 so the insurance companies have another way to label you as in poor health and a "risk".

Ha! Not so far fetched. Along the same lines, any cholesterol number over 200 is considered a risk and that's ridiculous. Around 200 is pretty normal and it's the HDL/LDL which is the main health factor, yet often isn;t even part of a standard blood test.

because they cant fuck you if all the information checks out. so leave out the numbers that matter and bam, your premium just went up $200 a month.

this is why i always say, never tell your doc youre using aas (if you are self medicating) becasue insurance companies will see that in your chart and then you are screwed more than the 500 pound fatty breathing heavy and farting in the waiting room.

the drug companies want that shit lowered too so they can put you on those BP meds which I'm convinced are borderline evil if not full blown from the devil himself. Any drug you take that runs the risk of you having to take it for the rest of your life is bullshit to me. That's what they don't like to tell people. People have tried to come off the meds but feel like shit so they go back on, than the doctor can wipe his hands from it saying "I just prescribed it for a period of time it was their choice to go back on cause they weren't feeling too well". Well of course they don't feel well, the drugs restructured their body chemistry. Beta's and ACE's are insidious little drugs. If your blood pressure is lower than 160 don't even bother.....alter your diet or something else before you go on those bullshit medications. If I remember correctly they take over some function for the heart, I'll have to look it up again....but there's a reason they tell people to ween off of em. I"ve read that people who came of these BP meds too quickly aactually caused themselves to have a cardiac event or even an attack.
