I would have probably walked away since it could mean a felony charge if you don't. At the same time, if these guys were being little punks they should have expected to be able to throw down. Sometimes people need to give a little more respect to the law of the jungle.

I forget what magazine I was reading, but some inmate was speaking about how some prisons turn people racist.

I guess in Texas, the overcrowding problem has created battledome-like cell blocks.

In one cell block, races/gangs would save whole benches for each other. When you walked into the room to watch TV, if there were no open seats, you have to fight for the right to a seat. If you win, you get the seat and no one else fucks with you. If you lose, you walk out. However, if you come in and dont fight, everyone kicks your ass anyway. The 2nd time that happens, they "turn you out" (aka make you a "punk"/sexual servant) and the rest of your time in prison is hell.

Thats pretty fuckin crazy if you 'axe' me.
