Getting strong!

Week 3 of my super-simple, ultra-conservative newbie Deca (winny towards end) cycle. I'm definitely feeling good these days.

I'm a weakling, so don't take too many shots at me... but so far here's the rundown:

Today's chest day so I'll see what I'm really up to, but last week I was already feeling better than usual. Up about 10lbs across the board on dumbbell presses and my endurance was sick. Got 4 reps with the 110's after doing 3 heavy sets incline, 3 sets flat. I couldn't do 110's for one rep 2 weeks ago(!). Finished with three sets of 100's on decline (never done over 80's decline).

Bi's were on last monday too, so no huge increases but I got 135lbs on straight bar for 8 reps clean. That's good for me, I was a happy boy.

LEGS are definitely improving. Friday was leg day, and it felt awesome! 4 sets of box squats (free squat rack, sit down on bench w/ thighs parallel to ground, pause, press). 225x12, 315x12, 405x12, 455x8 with failure on 8th rep. Then I did 4 sets of lunges and the rest of my leg workout. Good stuff.. 70lbs heavier than I've been able to squat for one rep max in years... and I did that 8 times! I think 500lbs squats are right around the corner!

Only gained 2lbs, up to 181lbs (and holding), but we're getting there. Feeling great! Thanks for all your help and motivation guys.
 
based on you're box squat stats I think that 500 squat is there. Load it up and do it next week! good strength at 181 man...
