Perhaps all the failures are due to lack of will to succeed. How do we measure the will to succeed? I think many posters are equating genetics with an inescapable limitation, not a molecular entity. We all may be arguing about an unrelated topic as we have yet to really define what we mean by 'genetics'.
I thinks it pretty easy to define genetics, ie the recipe that makes each of us unique...Taking out will, drive, desire, and all the intangibles you are still left with a fundamental genetic ability/limit. I can train harder, faster and better than any human on this planet and I still will not run a sub 10 second 100 meter dash.
