yes they look in checked baggage and if they open it they are required to put a card in your bag stating that they opened it and if they take anything out it is written on the card, i get one every flight...

I have had this as well the last two times I was leaving the US, I found it as I was unpacking.

It also states that if your suitcase is locked, they have the authority to break the locks to search the bags.

There is an increased security in the US, the TSA can be harsh.

Nothing will happen they will take the AAS's and then will prob sit down and talk to you asking you a bunch of questions and then they will prob give you a fine of 500 dollars becasue you brought them into an airport your just lucky you didnt pack alot bro..
