Actually, it a slam against Universal Health care proposals....he's pointing out how people like Hillary are full of shit....that you can never have decent health care until it's not longer controlled by private for profit companies.

Private for profit companies no longer make a profit no matter what fuck ups like Hillary think they can propose.
 
I have a good freind who just came back from Japan several weeks ago.

He found an intersting "health care system" while over there. Seems one of the VP's in the company he visited, PAYS his doctor for health care.(SIDE NOTE: his payments are no more than paying a insurance provider either). He pays the doctor to keep him healthy , if he gets sick, he does NOT pay the doctor until the doctor gets him well again!


I LOVE THIS CONCEPT!
 
I liked Sicko, and I work in healthcare. Although far from objective, this movie was much better than bowling for Columbine.

The US has the best health care in the world. Why? Dr's are compensated well and that keeps the best tallent here. The insurance companies are not as involved in managed health care, meaning, do as little as you can to just get by and no more. Ask someone who has lived in Europe what they think of a national health care program, my neighbor is form England, he'll give you an ear full...

How do you define "best health care in the world"?

My buddies in England love the health care they get over there so my view is slanted by them. I think it's that some people have good experiences and some people have bad ones.

The key is "how do I make a documentary out of it and cash in?"

I have no problems whatsoever with my Healthcare system, if anything, it's expensive and I never used it before (now I have a baby and we use it a lot).

It was interesting to read that dietary intervention and cheap prescription drugs in Canada prolonged life just as much as expensive surgeries plus dietary intervention and drugs when it came to heart disease in the US. :worried:

guess it's whom you talk to and what they needed from the system. My neighbor is a DR himself, left England 30+ years ago seeing the hand writing on the wall in reguards to the national health care system, his views are terrible as he feels like it prohibits "real" medical care. All medical care, especially the more expensive, is done on a point system. You don't have enough points, no liver for you or heart by-pass for you, etc. Oh, your 65, we don't replace knees/ hips, your way too old.

First, documentary have no agenda, they are just movies put together with all the facts gathered and they're all put out there for the viewer to see and come to their own conclusion, Burns makes the best documentaries imo, he works for years to get the most facts he can and puts them together in a way as to show all that is involved. Moore, that piece of shit has no intention of making a "documentary", he' sintention is to slander, bash, discredit and generally push his own agenda to the public. That is why his first flick had no effect on the election whatsoever and his other is a huge flop. Even the far left Libs are't supporting him, he like Rosie O'donald, is just seen as a crakpot now. They have no credibility at all....

why should it be controlled by private organization for profit?

Let me ask you a question. Lets say, we get a Universal Care for everyone that is controlled by private org for profit....do you think poor people would be able to go and get a treatment without being financially responsible? Do you think that the health care and medicine for seniors over 60 would be absolutely free? Do you think when a baby is born automatically it gets health care as he/she is automatically an american citizen?
 
The 911 movie was rediculous.
He told everyone it was a documentary filled only with the truth.
He also said he would sue anyone if they said otherwise.
Well, a bunch of college kids came forward. He paid them with Duritos to say anti-Bush comments.
They also reenacted scenes and pretended they were recorded live.
When confronted with those facts and more he said the movie was more of a satire.
What a loser!

Moore claimed Roger never returned phone calls or got in contact with him, which was 100% false.

Please back up your claims with verifiable statistics. Stats can be manipulated, but at least make that effort before you make unproven claims -or qualify your statement as your opinion, which all it is anyway.
Now it's my opinion that Japan has the highest stress realated illnesses in the world, which results in many suicides ( I believe 2nd per capita behind Sweden - again my opinion). As I just downed 2 mg of Xanax so I can get some stress free sleep before my high risk job as a bouncer at a punk rock bar, I now need to sleep, and lack the ambition to verify my opinion, so it can be up graded to fact.

I see. It's too bad that he left to find "real' medical care. I guess that's a limitation of socialized healthcare. The needs of the many and all that.

As for "documentaries", I was making a joke. I should of put it in quotes like I did in this post. I like watching animal planet type documentaries instead (those hyenas are fucking vicious!). But if I could find a way to cash in like he did, then I'm in. :D
