Friend in critical care

This isn't really steroid related but i figured u guys might have some good imput.. Well a body of mine is in rehab for abusing painkillers and other drugs for the last 4 or 5 years.. He told me they had him on methadone and about 4 or 5 other drugs that including anti depressants and antibiotics for a badly infected tooth.. He told me his tooth was soo infected he had a nasty drip he could taste going down the back of his throat.. Well he decides to workout after years of not doing anything. He use to be a wrestler soo he was use to hardworkouts.. Well after running and lifting some weights he felt really sick.. When he went to use the bathroom he was pissing black!! The idiots at the rehab center told him not to worry it problalby a bladder infection.. He left anyways and went to the hospital. The doctor said his organs were shutting down and the muscles in his body were breaking down poisning his kidneys.. The doctors still cant figure out why this happend.. Any ideas

I don't know why rehab centers hand out drugs like it's fucking candy. It's like they take people who are addicted to shit, give them a prescription for some other shit and let them get addicted to it instead, but it's not called addiction since it's prescribed.


Rehab centers are shit...I've had a couple friends go through them and they always come out worse then when they went in.

Medicines that are used in rehab are NEVER norcotics (except for methadone).
The reason methadone is used is because it prevents heroin withdrawl symptoms (that people can die from) and is not supposed to cause a 'high' in drug addicts. Some people may abuse it by taking high doses.
Medicines are used to prevent or treat withdrawl symptoms.
If someone has any other associated condition (eg depression), that is also treated.
Your friend most likely had rhabdomyolysis. Renal failure is a complication of severe rhabdomyolysis. Very hard workout on top of a severe infection may have triggered it.
He might also have become severely septic from tooth infection that may lead to multi-organ system failure.

Dr. House, by the way, is mostly bull shit.

ya im pretty worried about him.. Im sure hed appreciate all the kind words.. I think the tooth infection mite have had a big part in it.. His body is like a toxic wast dump all the shit he has put in it over the years

Doctors don't know what happened? Well how in the world a human can be alive being on methadone and 4 or 5 other drugs?? and on top of that workout like a powerlifter?? I really wish the best for him but most important, I wish he finally stand up, MAN-UP and says "I am not going to put more horseshit in my system" period. Brain over the body. It is hard, I understand, but you as his friend, shake his head and tell him "is either death, or life" and life at this point for him means no chemicals in his body.

Well i just got a call from my buddies twin brother.. There step dad who we have all been friends with for years has just passed away from a mixing high high doses of methadone alcohol and who knows what else.. I tried finding him yesterday he didn't even know what happend to his son because he recently split up with my buddies mother and hes been on a drunk tear ever since no one could reach him.. This is a bad time
