Fat Girls & drinking water

This fat girl at the gym was telling me yesterday that I drink too much water. She said that if anyone drinks more than 8 0z. glasses of water a day it goes to waste cause the body doesn't absorb it and you just eventually piss it out. personally, I drink one gallon when lifting, and two more during the entire day.
ALSO, she said that if someone's piss color is clear then something is wrong, she said if it's dark then something is wrong. my piss color is clear to yellow shade. Is something wrong with me???
*I know this fat girl is wrong but i'd like you guys to back me up on this one.

I have read various articles about "water intoxication" - but the condition usually applies exclusively (although not always) to endurance atheletes (e.g., marathon runners, etc.,)

The condition is called hyponatremia - and it typically entails a dangerous drop in blood sodium levels...

Again - I think it's only a concern in cases where you are losing a good deal of sodium (i.e., from sweating during a long run) and then drinking too much fluid (i.e., water) that doesn't contain any sodium....

But if you're a bodybuilder - and your diet contains adequate sodium levels - I don't think you should be worried about drinking too much water....but then again, I'm not a doctor!!

My mother once had a girl in the hospital who died from drinking too much water.

She was on E (who knows what else it could have interacted with) and for some reason it made her extremely thirsty. She actually drank untill her electrolite balance was so fucked up she died.

I don't really think you could do it even purposely if you tried unless you were drugged up. I mean normally our bodies would start to vomit at the thought of drinking more water but her signals were all fucked.

That E could've been the known E that has PMA in it instead of MDMA. PMA E is a molecule off from MDMA but it makes it DEADLY though. Alot of of the E that has PMA in it is being passed off as regular E. Because they are making the SAME EXACT logo's on them as the MDMA. When the person take the PMA E then they think they got some weak shit so they buy 1 or 2 more then it raies their body temp up so high that they literally burn up inside. There is nothing they can do for you. If you read up on deaths of E. Most of them will be from the PMA E.

I usually drink at least 1-1.5 gallons a day...and I'm not a very big person by any means. If I don't drink that much, I usually retain water.

And regarding pee color (such a nice topic) there's nothing wrong with it being clear. That just means that it doesn't have a high concentrate of waste. If anything, that's ideal. If it's really bright yellow that means that your kidneys are retaining water because you don't have enough of it in your body-- so you will only release a certain amount with waste, making the color appear darker as there's less dilution. If that makes sense?

Gotta love out of shape people giving nutrition/work out advise. ;)

Obviously you're not too sure about yourself, since the girl that you'd need some back-up against isn't visiting this site. Unless of course you gave her this url when you gave her your phone number.

My sister was talking to me about the same thing.... I didn't think you could have TOO much water, but she said she asked a doctor who said while not enough is a reason for retaining water, so is TOO much.

But I don't think 1-2 gallons a day is too much. Probably much healthier than not enough.
