Fast Food Nation

I want you to think of what you ate today. Got it? Now cut that in half, this is called a diet, people, everyone start one today! Darcy, you should stop eating. You see, when you skip a meal, your body feeds off its fat stores. And if you skip enough, maybe your body will eat your ass!

The problem that I have is that are government is giving these companies unneeded tax breaks. The companies are paying off politicians. “Efforts to prevent the sale of tainted ground beef have been thwarted by meat industry lobbyists and their allies in Congress. The federal government has the legal authority to recall a defective toaster but still lacks the power to recall tons of contaminated, potentially lethal meat.”

You don’t see a problem with that?

That they are directing there marketing aggressively at children.

It isn’t the just about the food it’s the morals and values these companies stand on.. It’s that in the US we spend more money on fast food then education.

That we sit are fat asses in are big suv’s, buying the gas they want us to buy. To go watch the crap reality television to numb are minds from the real problems we are causing.

It’s all related don’t you see it… This country is in a sad state of affairs but most people are more concerned with the new celebrity reality tv show…

If we spent more on education then we wouldn't have anyone to work in our fast food restaurants. ;)

This country is doing just fine. My quality of life is constantly improving. That's really all that matters to me.

Do you really think spending more money on education is gonna matter?

The biggest factors involved in a child growing up to be successful are genetics and how they were raised. Public education for the most part doesn't mean shit. My siblings and I were homeschooled up until high school, we really didn't get any formal education until then. We basically just did whatever we wanted, which usually included a lot of reading and video games. I run my own business, my sister is a writer, my bro is a computer programmer. I'd say we turned out just fine.

High school to me was a big fat waste of my time. I could have spent those 4 years making extra $. The whole system is flawed IMO. I chose not to go to college because that would have been another 4 years sucked out of my life. My point is that people need to take responsibility for themselves, and stop relying on the government to provide everything for them. Educate yourself.

Why is our country in a sad state of affairs? Nothing you've said makes much sense. Who is more concerned with reality tv? Idiots? You're making generalizations that only apply to a percentage of the population.
