Extreme Eating for Mass

I feel that extreme calorie intake must be coupled with a strict cardio regimen. One will accumulate higher bodyfat after two weeks of calorie loading.

Burning off a high bodyfat percentage during a heavy cardio cycle will mean sacrificing some muscle mass in the process.

I think what is important is not blind calorie loading, but knowing, through trail and error, one's individual calorie maintainace level.

I have read that article and it's totally right. For the average to hard gainer, you just need more calories than you will likely get on clean food (especially if you work for a living - there are only so many hours in the day you can spend eating). Shakes help but good old red meat. I guess bodybuilders can't worry about their cholestoral.

The only exception is that I have heard that natural athletes tend not to bulk up as much. They stay closer to their contest weight when bulking (just cause its harder naturally to lose that much weight). Any guys know if this is true?
