I have a 2500 sq ft house, electric heat pump, keep the heat at 69 degrees and my heating bill usually costs around $70. The most it is is around $129 in February.
We used to set it in the mid 70's. When we did that, our upstairs stat showed 82!!! EIGHTY fucking TWO!!! and it's 20 degrees out. I programmed the stats now and it's running a little more smoothly. I wish i could compare to my neighbors with the same house designs as mine. You could never really do that realistically, because everybody lives a different lifestyle and schedule.
Note** Due to the 35+ replies, nobody will be banned today. Thank you.

Some people actually open the door and go outside for awhile.
I called the HVAC man today to come and look at my systems and see what I can do to make things a little more efficient around here. Are you supposed to change the filters on these things?
