EF should put on a lift comp

this is a lifting site afterall.
think it's possible, or too daunting with rule
enforcement? i think that could be the case,
even with loose rules.
but it would be hella sick though.

here is how i could see it happening.
-have it be based on dl/bp/sq
-use three reps instead of one
-recorded and loosely based on typical standards
such as no ass off the bench/at least paralell on the
squat, no hitching on dl.
-pre-determined judges
-dated for 2011

think there would be enough interest or no

I recently pressed 315 for s PR. Pressing that for a trip would be bad ass for me. Maybe by 2011 if I get on that halo.

I could manage a DL triple with 500 raw dawg right now.

There's some strong bros lurking about. Bblazer's squat 20RM is like 405 haha

Fuck I wish bro. I've hit 185x5. I'm working on 225 which is a little more than body weight. I can push press it but not a strict press.

The 315 was a bench pr.

my OP has stalled over the last five years, never made it past
185.
hard lift to make gains and kinda gets sketch
i bet right now i could bp 315 for a double though i haven't gone over 275 since last winter.
 
Bench has always been my worst lift. I have a love hate relationship with it.

Standing OHP is my favorite lift and I work them hard. I've been hitting them first every week for a little while now. I alternate a week of high volume high reps with a week of low volume heavy work. You don't see too many bros putting up big weights standing. At least not in any gyms I've been in.
 
I would not do too well. Here's why:

I can bench 365 lbs x 3 fairly easy. 405 lbs x 3 if I'm juicing.
I can shoulder press 315 lbs x 5-6 fairly easy.
I can deadlift 405 lbs x 3 (which is crap)
I can squat about 365 lbs x 3 only...which is also crap. I had a knee injury and a back injury in wrestling in university and hence my lower body is probably not as strong as my upper body...I am starting to get it back up there now...

Slightly above average upperbody stength but solid lowerbody strength for my size and training age.

I was back squatting mid 400's before I blew my groin up again. Now it's only sets of ten with 225-275 with a shoulder width stance :(

I tryed to organise this on the weightlifitng board but almost everyone has a reason why they wouldnt do it.

I would do it if it got set up

How is a "back squat" different from a regular squat? I've only heard that term a couple of times and have always wondered. Or is it the same thing?

No difference. Not sure why I posted "back" squat. A squat's a squat unless we're talking front squats.
