Drug interactions (AS and surgery?)

does it matter if ur on AS and get surgery? does ur doc have to know? also.... can u take pain meds if ur on AS..like vicodins... what about valiums..etc..??

I am sure it depends on what type of surgery you are having done...... hopefully someone else with some med. background can help you there.

I have taken pain pills before while on AS--for a toothache. Hated to do it, but it was the god awfullest pain ever

Discuss the issue with your anesthesiologist. AAS can alter liver metabolism of other drugs. Get off ephedrine as well. The oral AAS may affect clotting.

Shouldn't affect anything else. Will probably enhance healing.
