Doing only clean+jerks every other day.

Would this work? I'm tired of squats/deadlifts.

Would it be a good idea for me to maybe take 2 months off from powerlifting and only do olympic lifts?

Would doing powercleans and jerks be sufficient for me to put on strength and some mass?

I've been doing a lot of cleans lately. Maybe 30-40 a day every other day and I've noticed my traps are getting a bit bigger. My arms are also getting a good workout, too.
 
I would do them 2 times a week, 3 times is a bit too much because u dont wanna take away from ur squats and deads since those are a staple in my book
 
i dont like it. i think you will lack in the lower body to much.
 
i thought u were banned?

what do u want to do achieve by doing this? maybe we can come up with a better stragety at completing it than doing clean and jerk only...

i dont think every other day is sufficient for your muscles to recover. and why would you only do clean and jerk? what is the reasoning behind that?

C+J and front squats as your only exercises will not work very well no
 
i dont think of it as a horrible thing to do if you are looking for a deload/change... im doing a c&j/squat-based workout, but a 2 day split...
sun:
light back squats
clean and jerk approx 10 singles
deadlifts 5 3 1
then some assist moves
wed:
bench
c & j
heavy back squats
assist work
i started a 5-6wks ago and am progressing on my lifts fairly well...
they will get you more explosive... and done best as singles or doubles for the sake of form... im starting to gain speed at getting under the bar and catching it low... they are starting to become a lot of fun...
