i have had severe pain in right ass cheek for 10-12 days now, no abcess nothing visible, just a bump you can feel deep in that hurts, Swolk helped me out and i saw the doc today, they gave me antibiotic and thought it was a infection but they were unsure, couldn't gaurantee it wouldn't be something worse. have to wait to see if medicine works. any thoughts i'm flucking nervous, can't afford surgery. all opinions gladly appreciated.

Ok.....let's break this down Lil' Bruce.

Does the bump feel "hot" and "burning"?

How thick and large is the bump?

What the doc said is true; there's no definitive way for him to tell at this point if it's an abcess or not. He'd have to wait for it to grow or there to be puss or discharge from the area. I would not advise you to try and poke it, pop it, or jab at it. Leave it alone and time will tell whether it's just injection site swelling or a serious infection of the tissue.

Hope this helps.

i had a strange, sharp pain in my glute a while back that began two days after an injection. i was freaked out about it and worried it was an abcess even thought it was not red, but definitely swollen. it ended up healing itself. i posted about it and someone suggested it may have been a broken blood vessel.

if you do have an abcess they could probably take one look and tell. antibiotics alone will probably not cure. it has to be cut open and drained of pus. good luck.

not hot at all, feels like winny injected last night, its just been 12 days. haven't touched it, it isn't visible you have to feel deep to get at it. do infections usually form a ball like that

Give a couple of days to those antibiotics. After that, I'd stick a pin in my ass and suck that milk.

really? when i thought i might have an abcess i thought about doing this myself but didnt know what guage to use, or if it would work. i thought about using my 18"ers but kinda freaked me out.

I'd take the antibiotics until they were gone. Infections are like muscles - either getting bigger or smaller. It may not be, but why take a chance?

Lil' Bruce, settle down and listen to me.

Take the anti-biotics the doctor gave you and let it heal on its own.

I agree w/ the PIG.......if it is indeed an abcess you will know in a short time...
