Do you believe in Mythical Creatures such as:

Okay, about this reiterated giant squid -- you all know there is a difference between the mythological GIANT SQUID and the actual species of giant squid that exist, right? Twenty-Thousand Leagues Under the Sea was a work of fiction, folks.

That was sort of my point, sammy. ;-) Unfounded creatures do exist, but they may not be as fantastic as what imaginative people have described.

2. samoth, iq 140-150 ( stratosphere braniac) personality: incredulous.

Although, it is easier for some pure science people to lable everyone who disagrees with them as stupid, some of the truly great scientists have known to always think big and not to discount everything that is not yet discovered.

Don't you think real scientist are scouring jungles and oceans right this minute in search of new species?

I think IQ tests are largely overestimated, especially on the interwebs. I'd give myself an above average 110-115.

I have no clue what the IQ range for lawers is.

This is so the cue for someone to misquote Einstein talking about "god" again, lol. I cringe everytime I see that.

this has morphed into CREDULOUS personality types vs. INCREDULOUS personality types. some folk believe in ghost, demons, bigfoot and gods. I've had many friends and associates espouse such beliefs. these were typically bright individuals as i dont associate with morons (except puddlemonkey) it is not a matter of intelligence or lack of that dictates ones belief in the fantastic or improbable but rather a personality style. i am a skeptic and cant understand how people believe in a benevolent anthropomorphic judeo christian god when all the evidence points to the contrary. we can argue all day but science is science and when something is presented without a shred of evidence it is mythos. it may be fun to romanticize and wax philosophical about such subjects but we should leave it at that. i think the sciences are just too boring for some and they need conspiracies and ghost. thats cool with me!!! if everybody liked the same horse there wouldnt be much of a horse race

Oh my god, I like totally believe in like Ghosts and UFO's, Like there was this one time like I was totally praying to God and like I saw a ghost. It was this cool ghost. It looked like a ufo.

...and how about the research scientists for SETI? They are looking for something that most people automatically discount. I don't know if they will ever find anything, but they certainly aren't laughing about the possibility and discounting the intelligence of those who may believe in something beyond what has been already proven.

Just because we cannot see it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
There are many dimensions on the planet that we will never me privy to

You are way beyond 115, sammy.

I, like you, think IQ test are much ado about nothing, though.

You can actually learn how to ace IQ tests, with practice. If they are a true measure of intelligence, this shouldn't be the case.

When I was in the gifted program in school, they were always testing us for various things. Our scores kept rising and rising, because we just got really good at the various tests...lol. Our intelligence certainly had not changed that drastically.
